One sunny morning, Baby Lion woke up excited. Today was the day he would go hunting with his dad. Humpy, his bird friend, chirped happily beside him. Baby Lion had been waiting for this day for a long time. He felt both nervous and excited.

Baby Lion and his dad walked into the tall grass. Humpy flew above them, keeping watch. Dad Lion showed Baby Lion how to move quietly. They saw many animals, but they were not ready to hunt yet. Baby Lion listened carefully to everything his dad said.

Dad Lion stopped and pointed at a gazelle. 'Watch and learn,' he whispered. Baby Lion crouched low, just like his dad. Humpy landed on a tree to get a better view. Dad Lion moved slowly, then pounced quickly, catching the gazelle.

Baby Lion tried to copy his dad. He moved slowly and quietly. When he pounced, he missed, but Dad Lion smiled. 'You did great for your first try,' he said. Baby Lion felt proud and knew he would get better with practice.
