Little Lucy loved to eat and try each tasty treat. With hair of light brown flowing down, she'd explore around the town. "I want to taste the world!" she'd say, discovering something new each day. Her mama smiled and hugged her tight, "We'll start this food adventure right! Tomorrow we'll begin to see what yummy foods from lands can be." Lucy jumped and clapped with glee, excited as could ever be!

"Let's start with tacos!" Mama said. They chopped tomatoes, green and red. Lucy mixed the spices round, the best guacamole to be found. She wrapped the tortillas nice and neat, creating such a special treat. "These tacos are from Mexico, where Abuela lived long ago!" Lucy took a crunchy bite, her eyes grew big and shining bright. "The flavors dance upon my tongue! This food adventure has begun!"

Next day they made a pizza pie, with cheese stacked up so very high. Lucy tossed the dough around, it spun and twirled without a sound. "In Italy they've made this dish for many years, just as you wish!" She spread the sauce with careful care, then added toppings everywhere. Peppers, olives, mushrooms too, the oven made it hot and new. "Magnifico!" said Lucy proud, she'd learned Italian words out loud!

On Wednesday, Lucy learned to roll, sushi made her heart feel whole. Rice and seaweed, fish so fresh, ingredients fitting like a mesh. "From Japan this comes," Mom taught, as Lucy watched with loving thought. She rolled it tight with gentle hands, making colorful, tasty bands. Cucumber and avocado green, the prettiest rolls she'd ever seen. "Oishii!" Lucy said with pride, Japanese words she learned inside.

Thursday brought a curry pot, with spices that were steaming hot. "India has flavors bold, stories of this land of gold!" Lucy stirred the yellow sauce, feeling like a cooking boss. Coconut and lentils red, warming up with homemade bread. The smell filled up their little home, like traveling far but not alone. Lucy tasted, "Wow, it's nice! It's creamy with a hint of spice!"

Friday morning, up at dawn, Lucy helped with pastries drawn. "French croissants are buttery treats, the flakiest of all the sweets!" She shaped the dough in crescent moons, humming happy breakfast tunes. The golden layers puffed up high, looking pretty as they'd fly. With jam and butter, sweet and light, each flaky bite was pure delight. "Magnifique!" she learned to say, French words brightened up her day!

Saturday they folded small, Chinese dumplings, best of all! Lucy pinched each wrapper round, making perfect pleats she found. "These dumplings come from far away, where ancient dragons used to play!" She steamed them in a bamboo stack, watching till they all came back. Pork and veggie filling sweet, made a most delicious treat. "Hao chi!" Lucy clapped her hands, learning words from distant lands.

Sunday brought a salad bright, olives, feta, pure delight! "Greece has islands in the sea, where this salad came to be!" Lucy cut tomatoes round, cucumbers she'd also found. She drizzled olive oil on top, then added herbs without a stop. Oregano made it smell so good, she danced around the neighborhood. "Nostimo!" Lucy sang out loud, of her Greek salad, feeling proud!

Monday's meal was served unique, Ethiopian food that they would seek. Lucy helped make injera bread, spongy, soft, and slightly spread. "We eat with hands, no fork or spoon, sharing underneath the moon!" She scooped up stews of colors bright, red and yellow, green in sight. Different flavors on one plate, learning customs, feeling great. "This is how they share and care, food and friendship everywhere!"

Tuesday came with something sweet, brigadeiros, chocolate treat! Lucy rolled the fudge in balls, decorating through the halls. "Brazil is where they dance and play, celebrating every day!" She covered each in sprinkles bright, chocolate dots of pure delight. Her fingers sticky, face with smiles, she'd traveled many tasty miles. "Delicioso!" Lucy cheered, trying words she'd never heard!

Wednesday brought spring rolls to make, fresh and light for Lucy's sake. "Thailand has such lovely food, fresh and bright and always good!" She wrapped up veggies, shrimp, and mint, in rice paper without a hint. Dipping sauce of peanut sweet, made the perfect summer treat. Crunchy, fresh, and full of taste, not a single bit to waste. "Aroi!" Lucy learned to say, Thai words ending up her day!

Lucy's journey taught her well, so many stories food could tell. She invited friends to come and share, foods from cultures everywhere. Each dish told of lands afar, where different people, foods, are. "Food brings people close," she said, "No matter where they make their bread!" Her friends all tried each special plate, learning cultures, feeling great. Lucy's dream had come so true, the world of food she'd traveled through!
