The sun tucked itself behind the hills. Little Roe yawned in the Silver-Leaf Forest. His golden-brown fur sparkled with white spots like tiny stars. "Goodnight, moss bed," he whispered. "Goodnight, smooth stone." Mama nuzzled him gently. Little Roe looked at the big, wide sky. "Mama, is my love big enough to reach the clouds?" he asked. Mama smiled. "Why don't we find out, Little Roe?" The first star peeked out and winked at him.

Little Roe took a deep breath. "I love you!" he called softly. Two bunnies hopped by, ears twitching. "We heard that!" they giggled. "We'll pass it along!" The bunnies hopped to the sleeping owls. "Hoo, hoo! We'll share it too!" the owls hooted. They flew to the tall pines. The trees rustled their branches, making the message dance on the wind. Little Roe watched his love travel like tiny glowing fireflies, moving from friend to friend through the forest.

Little Roe looked up at the sky. The Moon was rising, big and bright. Suddenly, the Moon glowed extra warm, like it was smiling just for him. Silver light poured down like a soft blanket. "Look, Little Roe," Mama whispered. "The Moon caught your love!" The moonlight covered the trees, the flowers, and Little Roe's spotted fur. "My love reached the sky!" Little Roe gasped. He felt warm and safe under the Moon's glow. Everything sparkled in the gentle light.

Little Roe snuggled close to Mama. "Love is like moonlight," Mama said softly. "It covers everything, everywhere, all at once." Little Roe smiled. His worries melted away like snowflakes. "Even when the world feels big?" he asked. "Especially then," Mama promised. Little Roe closed his eyes. His scarf felt cozy and warm. The forest hummed a lullaby. "Goodnight, Moon. Goodnight, love," he whispered. His pocket was full of goodnights, and his heart was full of love. He drifted off to sleep.
