In the living-room bay window at night, Adam stands on a stool, nose to the glass, gazing at a thin crescent moon glowing outside. Mama wraps her arms around him while Baba smiles nearby beneath the soft silver moonlight.
Adam pressed his nose to the window, whispering, 'Ramadan is here!'. The thin moon smiled back. 'I feel sparkly inside,' he said. Mama hugged him. Baba nodded, 'We will fill our home with light.'
Inside the brightly lit living room, Baba stands on a chair, taping paper moons and stars high on the wall while Adam hands him tape. Mama arranges glowing lanterns on a shelf, warm light sparkling over the decorations.
Together they hung lanterns moons and stars. 'Higher, please!' Adam giggled, handing tape to Baba. Mama placed lanterns on shelves. His little sister clapped. 'Our house twinkles like the night sky,' Adam cheered.
Morning sunlight fills the playroom as Adam kneels on a patterned rug, pushing toy cars toward Sister and saying 'You choose first.' Sister sits opposite him, reaching happily for a red car, colorful vehicles scattered between them.
Adam spread his cars on the rug. 'You choose first,' he told his sister, smiling. Later, Baba traced letters, 'Alif, baa,' and Adam repeated proudly. Mama whispered, 'The Quran is our guide.'
At sunset, Adam smiles as he offers dates and water at the table before the meal.
At sunset, the call floated, and they gathered. 'Bismillah,' Mama said as Adam passed dates and water. They ate together happily. 'Alhamdulillah for food, health, and family,' Baba said. Adam beamed, 'Thank you, Allah.'
