A'ja was a little girl with a HUGE imagination. She didn’t just play basketball—she became the game. Each bounce of the ball told a story only she could see.

A'ja spun around and shot the ball. "She's going for three!" she announced, acting like a famous commentator. Her backyard hoop was old and wobbly, but to A'ja, it was a golden goal in a grand arena. The grass was her crowd, and the trees clapped their leaves every time she scored.

A'ja missed her next shot, but smiled. "Every champion misses sometimes," she told herself. She ran to get the ball and tried again. Sinking the basket, she grinned wide. "Hustle wins every time!" she cheered. Her backyard felt grander than ever. She called her backyard court "Dream Arena."She even made signs and trophies from cereal boxes and crayons.

One day, A’ja’s school announced a sports day. There would be races, relays... and a basketball game!“Can I be on the team?” she asked her teacher.
