Amelia was playing with her dog, Puppy, in the garden. Her mom called her inside with a big smile. "We have a surprise for you!" said Mom. Amelia's eyes widened with excitement. She loved surprises!

Amelia's mom and dad showed her a tiny baby wrapped in a soft blanket. "This is your new baby sister, Rose Marie," said Dad. Amelia looked at the baby with wonder. She was so small and cute. Amelia felt a warm feeling in her heart.

Amelia wanted to be the best big sister ever. She asked her mom how she could help. "You can sing to her or gently rock her cradle," Mom suggested. Amelia nodded eagerly. She loved singing her favorite songs to Rose Marie.

As days passed, Amelia and Rose Marie spent more time together. Amelia would tell her stories and make funny faces. Rose Marie would giggle and coo happily. Amelia felt proud to be a big sister. She knew they would be best friends.

Puppy was curious about the new family member. He sniffed around Rose Marie's cradle. Amelia giggled and said, "Puppy, this is Rose Marie, our new sister!" Puppy wagged his tail and settled beside the cradle. He seemed to understand.

Amelia loved helping her mom with Rose Marie. She would fetch diapers and sing lullabies. "You're a great helper, Amelia," Mom said with a smile. Amelia beamed with pride. She felt grown-up and important.

One sunny day, Amelia and her family went to the park. Amelia pushed Rose Marie's stroller carefully. They had a picnic and played with Puppy. Amelia felt happy to have her sister and family together. It was a perfect day.
