Anu walked into school with a big smile. She waved at the crossing guard and said good morning to her teacher. At her desk, she helped pick up crayons that had fallen on the floor. During recess, she invited a quiet classmate to play hopscotch. Everyone loved being around Anu because she made them feel happy. Her teacher often said Anu had the brightest smile in the whole classroom. But today would be different.

The teacher announced a group art project. Anu sat with three classmates at a table covered with paper and markers. One friend suggested drawing a rainbow. Another wanted to make a jungle scene. Anu wanted a castle with dragons. She crossed her arms and frowned. No matter what her friends said, Anu shook her head. She refused to listen to any idea except her own. Her friends looked sad and confused.

Anu sat by herself at the art table while her friends worked together at another spot. They were laughing and sharing ideas about their jungle picture. Anu stared at her blank paper and felt a strange tightness in her chest. This did not feel good at all. She missed her friends. The classroom suddenly seemed very quiet around her. Anu realized that being right was not as important as being together.

Anu took a deep breath and walked over to her friends. She said she was sorry for not listening. Her friends smiled and invited her back to their table. Together they decided to combine their ideas into one amazing picture. They drew a rainbow jungle with a small castle. Anu felt warm inside as they worked side by side. She learned that the best ideas come when everyone shares. Good behaviour means listening with your heart.
