Aurora Petito sat with a frown as her mom held out another book. "Try this one!" her mom said cheerfully. "Reading is boring," Aurora grumbled. Her dad made silly voices, but nothing worked. "I wish I could go somewhere magical instead of reading," Aurora sighed. Just then, her mom had an idea.

Aurora’s mom called the Unicorn Academy for help. Suddenly, five glittery girls appeared: Isabelle, Sophia, Layla, Ava, and Valentina! Ava, with her long brown hair, smiled kindly at Aurora. "We heard you don’t like reading," Ava said gently. "Let’s take a magical trip!" The girls held Aurora’s hands, and sparkles filled the room.

In a flash, Aurora and the stars landed in a beautiful castle with shimmering towers. "Welcome to Unicorn Academy!" announced Isabelle. Aurora looked around, wide-eyed. "Where are all the unicorns?" she asked. The stables were empty and strangely quiet. The magical friends exchanged worried glances.

"Someone took the unicorns!" cried Sophia. Ava knelt beside Aurora and whispered, "Will you help us find them?" Aurora nodded bravely. Layla pointed to a sparkling book on the ground. "Maybe the answer is inside," she suggested. Aurora gulped. She never wanted to read, but now she had to try.

Aurora opened the mysterious book with Ava by her side. The words flashed with magical light: 'To find the herd, read with might.' “Let’s read together!” Ava encouraged her. Aurora sounded out the next line, and suddenly, a hidden door appeared. Books can be really magical, Aurora smiled.

Together, Aurora, Ava, and the stars tiptoed through the hidden door. The passage was lined with glowing bookshelves. Aurora saw a shadowy shape dart ahead. "Who was that?" whispered Valentina. Their footsteps echoed as they hurried onward. A faint, spooky laugh echoed from deeper inside.

Suddenly, Ravensella appeared, flapping her dark cloak. "You’ll never find the unicorns unless you solve my riddle!" she cackled. She handed Aurora a book covered in purple jewels. "Only reading will set your friends free!" Ravensella vanished in a swirl of smoke. The friends looked at Aurora hopefully.

Aurora opened Ravensella’s book, her friends leaning in. "What’s the first word?" Ava asked gently. “Shimmer,” Aurora read, her voice growing stronger. The words glowed, and a secret stairway appeared! "Reading is actually fun with friends," Aurora giggled. They hurried up the glowing stairs together.

At the top, they found a beautiful rainbow-filled room. In the center, a golden lock shimmered on a large door. “The key is in another book!” Layla guessed. Aurora found a tiny book with unicorns on the cover. She carefully read each word. The lock clicked open with a joyful chime.

Beyond the door, the unicorns pranced in a sparkling garden. Isabelle cheered, “You did it, Aurora!” Ava hugged Aurora with a big smile. "You’re a real hero now!" said Valentina. Aurora grinned at the unicorns, feeling proud. Ravensella was gone, defeated by the magic of reading.

The unicorns nuzzled Aurora in thanks. The Unicorn Academy stars clapped and cheered. Ava whispered, "Will you keep reading with us?" Aurora nodded happily. "I can’t wait to read more adventures!" The magical castle faded as Aurora found herself back home, still smiling.

Aurora picked up her book without being asked. She pictured Ava, the unicorns, and her magical friends. Reading wasn’t boring anymore—it was a wonderful adventure. "Mom, Dad, want to read with me?" she called. Her parents joined in, happy and proud. Aurora’s reading adventure had just begun!
