Morning sunlight bathes the big red farm gate as Druv beams, holding his mama's hand. Behind them, a red barn stands amid wide green fields beneath a clear blue sky.
Little Druv held his mama's hand as they walked through the big red gate. "Look, Druv! This is Old MacDonald's farm!" she said. Druv's dark eyes sparkled with excitement. He saw a big red barn, green fields, and a blue sky. "Animals!" Druv clapped his tiny hands. The morning sun felt warm on his face. Today would be the best day ever!
Under the sunny sky at the pasture fence, Druv giggles and stretches a tiny arm toward a brown-and-white cow’s soft nose. The gentle cow swishes its tail while accepting the pat.
"Moo! Moo!" A brown and white cow walked up to the fence. "Cow says moo," Mama explained. Druv giggled and tried to copy. "Moo!" he said in his sweet baby voice. The cow swished her tail happily. Druv reached through the fence to pet her soft nose. The cow was so gentle and kind. "Nice cow," Druv whispered softly.
Outside the red barn on a bright morning, Druv laughs beside a muddy puddle as three pink pigs roll around; one mud-covered pig stands close, snorting up at him. Splashes of brown water dot the ground and barn wall.
Near the barn, Druv heard funny sounds. "Oink! Oink!" Three pink pigs rolled in mud puddles. Druv laughed and laughed at their silly game. "Pigs like to play in mud," Mama said. One little pig came closer, covered head to toe in brown mud. "Oink!" said the pig. "Oink!" Druv repeated, bouncing with joy.
In a sunlit green meadow, Druv kneels to gently pat a fluffy white sheep while others graze among wildflowers. The sheep’s curly wool glows softly in the afternoon light against distant rolling hills.
In the green meadow, white fluffy sheep grazed on grass. "Baa! Baa!" they called to Druv. He toddled closer on his little legs. The sheep had soft, curly wool like clouds. "Can touch?" Druv asked his mama. She nodded yes. Druv gently patted a sheep. It felt like his soft blanket at home! "Baa!" said the sheep happily.
Inside the cool wooden stable filtered by dusty sunbeams, Druv stands on straw and pats the lowered head of a tall black horse with a white star. A brown horse munches hay from a trough behind them.
Inside the cool stable, two horses munched hay. One was brown, one was black with a white star on its forehead. "Neigh!" said the brown horse. Druv's eyes grew wide. The horses were so big and tall! "Nice horsie," Druv said softly. The black horse bent down low so Druv could pat its soft nose. "Neigh!" Druv tried to copy the sound.
Inside the dim chicken coop strewn with straw, a red rooster perches crowing loudly as Druv points excitedly at a brown hen laying a fresh egg. Soft sunlight filters through wire mesh onto scattered seeds.
"Cluck, cluck, cluck!" In the chicken coop, hens pecked at seeds on the ground. A red rooster strutted proudly. "Cock-a-doodle-doo!" he crowed loudly. Druv jumped at the big sound, then giggled. One brown hen laid an egg right there! "Egg!" Druv pointed excitedly. Mama smiled. "Yes, chickens give us eggs!" The rooster crowed again, making Druv laugh.
On the grassy bank of a sparkling pond under midday sun, Druv sits cross-legged clapping while yellow ducks circle the water. A curious duck waddles toward him, heads tilted as they ‘quack’ at each other.
By the sparkly pond, yellow ducks swam in circles. "Quack! Quack! Quack!" they said together. Druv sat on the grass to watch. The ducks dipped their heads underwater, then popped back up. "Funny ducks!" Druv clapped. One duck waddled right up to him. "Quack!" it said. "Quack!" Druv answered back. They were talking to each other!
In the rocky enclosure beneath bright afternoon light, two agile goats leap between logs while Druv watches, mid-jump himself. The spotted goat pauses to nuzzle his outstretched hand against a backdrop of stacked timber.
Two goats climbed on rocks and logs. They were very good at jumping! "Maa! Maa!" bleated the goats. One goat had a white beard. The other had brown spots. Druv watched them hop from rock to rock. "Jump!" he said, trying to jump too. The spotted goat came over and nuzzled Druv's hand gently. Druv petted its soft fur.
Sunlight pools by the open barn door where an orange-and-white cat arches and purrs against Druv’s legs. Kneeling on the dusty threshold, Druv gently strokes the cat’s fur as loose hay glitters in the light.
A orange and white cat stretched in the sunshine near the barn door. "Meow," said the cat softly. Druv loved cats! He walked carefully toward it. "Kitty!" he whispered. The cat purred and rubbed against Druv's legs. Druv gently stroked its soft fur. The cat's purr grew louder and louder. "Happy kitty," said Druv with a big smile.
Behind the barn in soft late-day light, Druv presses his face to a wooden hutch while fluffy rabbits sniff through wire. A white rabbit hops out, its twitching nose brushing Druv’s small hand over the straw.
Behind the barn, Druv discovered a hutch. Inside were fluffy rabbits with long ears! One was white, two were gray, and one was spotted. The rabbits wiggled their pink noses. "Bunnies!" Druv squealed with delight. A white rabbit hopped close. Its fur was the softest thing Druv ever touched. The rabbit's nose twitched and tickled Druv's hand. He giggled and giggled.
Inside the softly lit barn, Druv sits atop a hay bale beside his mama, both clapping as they sing ‘Old MacDonald’. Farm animals gather at the doorway, each looking in while straw dust sparkles in golden beams.
Druv sat on a hay bale with Mama. Together they sang about all the animals they met. "Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O!" Druv clapped along. They sang about cows, pigs, sheep, horses, chickens, ducks, goats, the cat, and rabbits. Each animal made its special sound. Druv tried to make every sound. "Moo! Oink! Baa!" he sang happily.
Outside the farm gate at sunset, orange-pink light washes over Druv waving energetically toward distant barns where silhouetted animals stand. His mama gently lifts him as he yawns, the sky glowing behind their farewell.
The sun began to set, painting the sky orange and pink. "Time to go home," Mama said. Druv waved to all his new farm friends. "Bye-bye cow! Bye-bye piggy! Bye-bye all animals!" he called. The animals seemed to wave back in their own ways. Druv yawned, tired from his big adventure. "Come back soon?" he asked. "Yes, we'll come back," Mama promised.
