Elena and Talia heard the doorbell ring. Their mom opened the door to a smiling woman. "Girls, this is Miss Jenn. She'll be your babysitter," Mom said. Elena held Talia's hand. Miss Jenn knelt down with a warm smile. "Hi Elena! Hi Talia! I'm so excited to meet you," she said softly. Elena looked at her shoes. Talia hid behind her big sister. "It's okay to feel shy," Miss Jenn said gently. "We'll have fun together." Mom gave the girls hugs and kisses goodbye.

Miss Jenn sat on the floor. "Would you like to show me your favorite toys?" she asked. Elena peeked at her. Talia stayed quiet. Miss Jenn noticed a stuffed bunny on the couch. "Oh, what a cute bunny! Does someone special love this bunny?" Talia's eyes lit up. "That's mine," she whispered. "Mr. Floppy." "Mr. Floppy is a wonderful name," Miss Jenn said. Talia picked up her bunny. She sat a little closer to Miss Jenn. Elena watched carefully. Maybe this babysitter was nice.

Miss Jenn spotted books on the shelf. "I love stories! Do you?" Elena nodded. She grabbed her favorite book about a dancing bear. "Will you read to us?" Elena asked quietly. "I'd love to!" Miss Jenn said. The three sat together on the couch. Miss Jenn read with funny voices for each character. Talia giggled at the bear's deep voice. Elena smiled at the mouse's squeaky voice. "Again!" Talia cheered when the story ended. "Okay, one more time," Miss Jenn laughed. The girls snuggled closer.

"Who's hungry?" Miss Jenn asked. Both girls raised their hands. In the kitchen, Miss Jenn found apple slices and crackers. "Can we have shapes?" Elena asked. Miss Jenn smiled. She arranged crackers into funny faces on their plates. "This one has a silly smile!" Talia laughed. Elena made her own cracker person. "Look, Miss Jenn! Mine has a hat!" The three munched their snacks together. "You're both such creative artists," Miss Jenn said. Talia reached for Miss Jenn's hand. "You're nice," she said sweetly.

Music played from the living room speaker. "I have an idea," Miss Jenn said with a grin. "Let's have a dance party!" She started twirling. Elena and Talia looked at each other. Then Elena started jumping. Talia wiggled her arms. Miss Jenn spun in circles. "Copy me!" Elena called, hopping on one foot. Miss Jenn and Talia tried too. They all wobbled and laughed. "Now like this!" Talia showed them her special move. They danced until they were tired and giggly. "That was so fun!" Elena cheered.

Miss Jenn found the building blocks. "Let's make something together," she suggested. Elena started stacking blocks carefully. Talia added colorful pieces. Miss Jenn helped balance the tower. "Higher! Higher!" Talia said excitedly. Elena placed the last block on top. "We did it!" The tower wobbled. Then crash! It tumbled down. Instead of crying, the girls laughed. "Let's build again!" Elena said. This time they made two towers side by side. "Look how tall they are!" Miss Jenn said proudly. The girls beamed with joy.

Talia brought out her toy kitchen. "Can we play restaurant?" she asked. "What a great idea!" Miss Jenn said. Elena grabbed play food. "I'll be the chef!" Elena announced. Talia handed Miss Jenn a toy menu. "What would you like to order?" Talia asked. "One pizza and two cookies, please," Miss Jenn said. Elena pretended to cook. She served the plastic food on plates. "Here's your order, ma'am!" "Delicious! You're wonderful cooks," Miss Jenn said. They all pretended to eat together, laughing at their silly restaurant.

"Let's go to the backyard," Miss Jenn said. The girls raced outside. Elena ran to the swing. "Push me!" she called. Miss Jenn gave her gentle pushes. "Higher!" Elena giggled. Talia picked dandelions. She brought them to Miss Jenn. "These are for you," Talia said. "Thank you! They're beautiful," Miss Jenn said, tucking one behind her ear. They drew pictures with sidewalk chalk. Elena drew a rainbow. Talia drew her family and added Miss Jenn too. "That's us!" Talia said happily. They all smiled together.

Inside again, Elena found her favorite puzzle. "This one's tricky," she told Miss Jenn. "Let's work together," Miss Jenn suggested. Talia found the corner pieces. Elena sorted by color. Miss Jenn helped fit pieces together. "I found where this goes!" Talia said excitedly. "Great job!" Miss Jenn cheered. Piece by piece, the picture appeared. It showed a beautiful garden. "We make a good team," Elena said. The last piece clicked into place. They high-fived each other. "We did it together!" they all said.

The sky grew darker outside. "It's almost bedtime," Miss Jenn said softly. Elena and Talia changed into their pajamas. They brushed their teeth together. In their room, Miss Jenn sat between their beds. "Can you tell us a story?" Elena asked. "From your imagination?" "Of course," Miss Jenn smiled. She told a story about two brave sisters on an adventure. The girls listened with wide eyes. Talia yawned. Elena snuggled her pillow. "And they lived happily ever after," Miss Jenn finished. "Just like us," Talia whispered sleepily.

Miss Jenn tucked the blankets around Elena. "Sweet dreams, Elena," she whispered. Elena smiled up at her. "Will you come back tomorrow?" "I will," Miss Jenn promised. She walked to Talia's bed. Talia held Mr. Floppy tight. "Goodnight, Miss Jenn," Talia said. "I like you." "I like you too, sweetie," Miss Jenn said. She kissed both girls on the forehead. Elena reached out for a hug. Talia wanted one too. They hugged Miss Jenn tight. "You're the best babysitter," Elena said. Miss Jenn's heart felt warm.

The next morning, Elena and Talia woke up excited. They knew Miss Jenn was coming again. When the doorbell rang, they ran to the door. "Miss Jenn!" they both shouted happily. Miss Jenn opened her arms wide. The girls hugged her tight. "I missed you!" Talia said. "What should we play today?" Elena asked. Mom smiled watching them together. Miss Jenn was more than a babysitter now. She was their friend. "Everything!" Miss Jenn laughed. "Let's have another wonderful day together!" The girls cheered. Their adventures would continue, filled with love and laughter.
