Zandy is two, curious, and bright. He was born extra special with Trisomy 21, an extra chromosome. It makes him wonderfully unique. Zandy waves, giggling, "Hi!" He loves drums and big hugs.

Morning sunlight tickles Zandy's cheeks. He taps his tray, signs "more," and tries a new cup. "Sip!" he says, proud. Applesauce smiles back. Zandy learns at his pace, step by step.

Today Zandy practices steps. He stands, wobbles, and beams. "Up!" he cheers, then tries again. One foot, then another, soft thump, safe and steady. "I can!" Zandy claps for himself.

Shakers rattle; little drums boom. Zandy leads a living-room parade around cushions. "Boom-boom!" he sings, tiny feet pattering. He keeps a happy beat. Music makes his heart dance and shine.

Zandy shares words and signs. Two small hands say "please," a smile whispers "thank you." "Pease," he tries, proud again. Picture cards help him choose toys. His voice grows brighter every day.

The slide gleams like sunshine. Zandy climbs carefully, tiny hands strong. "One, two," he hums, then whooshes, "Whee!" Grass hugs his shoes. He points at soft clouds drifting by.

Blocks stack high, then tumble down. "Uh-oh!" Zandy says, eyebrows surprised. He tries again, slow and steady. "Ta-da!" The tower stands taller than his teddy. Determination sparkles in his bright eyes.

Bubble mountains bloom in the tub. Zandy splashes gently and pops tiny crowns of foam. "Pop-pop!" he giggles. A cozy towel becomes his superhero cape. Clean and calm, he signs "finished."

Zandy studies his reflection in the mirror. He touches his cheeks, hair, and heart. "Zandy!" he says proudly. "Extraordinary me!" His smile grows wide, filling the room with brave sunshine.

Little fingers explore a treasure bin of smooth beans. Shhh, they whisper like tiny rain. "Scoop," Zandy says, pouring carefully. He listens, grinning. New textures and sounds make adventures right at home.

Sleepy eyes close, and dreams flutter in. Zandy marches in a shining parade, drum booming gently. "Boom!" echoes the stars. He leads with courage and joy. Extra chromosome, extra sparkle, extra love.

The moon yawns outside the window. Zandy snuggles his blanket and whispers, "Good night." He remembers today's victories, tiny and mighty. "I can," he says softly. Extraordinary Zandy sleeps, ready for tomorrow.
