Gabby woke up early one day, and rubbed her sleepy eyes. She ran straight to the window pane, and gasped at the surprise! The whole wide yard was white and bright, covered deep with snow. She jumped and clapped with pure delight, her face began to glow. 'It's snowing! Look, it's snowing!' she squealed with joy so loud. Her heart was racing, overflowing, her head up in the clouds.

Gabby knew just what to do, she'd play outside all day! First she'd need warm clothing too, before she'd run and play. She grabbed her pants so pink and bright, her jacket soft and new. Her gloves that fit just right and tight, her pink shoes, pink all through! 'I'm ready now!' she told herself, as pink as pink could be.

She zipped her jacket way up high, and pulled her gloves on tight. The snowy world beneath the sky looked magical and bright. She opened up the door so wide, and felt the chilly air. With one big breath, she stepped outside, snow sparkled everywhere! The cold wind kissed her rosy cheeks, she giggled with delight.

Her pink shoes crunched the snow below, it squeaked with every stride. She'd never seen this much snow, her eyes grew big and wide. She scooped some snow up in her hands, it sparkled white and cold. It felt like magic fairy sand, more precious than pure gold! She tossed it high up in the air, and watched it fall like rain.

'I'll make a snowman big and round!' said Gabby with a grin. She rolled a snowball on the ground, and let the fun begin! She pushed and rolled it here and there, it grew and grew in size. She worked with such great love and care, beneath the winter skies. Her snowball now was big and tall, the perfect snowman base!

Now Gabby made a second ball, not quite as big as one. Though it was hard, she gave her all, she wouldn't stop till done! She lifted it with all her might, and placed it way on top. She pushed it left, she pushed it right, she didn't want to stop! The snowman now was taking shape, her dream was coming true.

The final ball was for the head, the smallest one of three. 'This will be perfect!' Gabby said, as happy as can be. She placed it gently way up high, and stepped back with a smile. Her snowman reached up to the sky, she'd worked a long, long while! 'My snowman friend is almost done, just needs a face to see!'

She found some rocks to make the eyes, a carrot for his nose. A stick smile that curved up high, and buttons down in rows. 'Hello there, Mister Snowman white!' said Gabby, feeling proud. 'You look so friendly, warm, and bright!' she said out very loud. Her snowman stood there tall and grand, the best one in the land!

Now Gabby flopped down on her back, right in the soft white snow. She moved her arms and legs, and smack! She made them swing and go! She swished them up and swished them down, creating angel wings. When she stood up and looked around, she saw such pretty things! Her angel shape looked beautiful, all outlined in the white.

But Gabby's hands were getting cold, her cheeks were pink and red. The winter sky was growing old, 'Time for inside,' she said. She waved goodbye to snowman friend, and to her angel too. Her snowy playtime reached its end, though she had loved it through. She walked back to her warm front door, her pink shoes wet and white.

Inside the house, so warm and bright, Mom had a sweet surprise. Hot chocolate, steaming, just done right, brought sparkles to her eyes! The marshmallows floated way on top, like clouds of puffy white. She took a sip, she couldn't stop, each taste was pure delight! 'This is the best!' said Gabby true, while holding her warm cup.

Now Gabby sat beside the fire, wrapped in a blanket soft. The flames danced higher, even higher, while she looked up aloft. She thought about her snowy day, the snowman and the fun. The games she loved and how she'd play, beneath the winter sun. She smiled and sipped her chocolate sweet, her perfect snow day done.
