Bright morning sun filters into the nursery as Dadda cradles Teo beside a colorful birthday cake
Teo woke up early. The sun was shining bright. Today was special! "Dadda! Dadda!" Teo called out. His Dadda came into the room with a big smile. "Good morning, little one," Dadda said softly. He picked Teo up gently. Teo giggled and touched Dadda's face. "Happy birthday, Dadda!" Mamma said, walking in. Teo clapped his tiny hands. He loved seeing Dadda smile so much.
In a softly lit living-room armchair, Dadda rocks Teo against his chest, morning light streaming through sheer curtains. Teo grips Dadda’s finger while their faces share peaceful smiles.
Dadda held Teo close to his chest. Teo could hear his heartbeat. Thump-thump, thump-thump. It made him feel safe and warm. "You're my best gift," Dadda whispered. He kissed Teo's tiny head. Teo grabbed Dadda's finger tight. "Da-da," Teo said proudly. Dadda's eyes sparkled with joy. "That's right, I'm your Dadda," he said. They rocked gently in the morning light. Everything felt perfect and peaceful.
Sunlit kitchen counters sparkle as Dadda holds Teo beside a mixing bowl of swirling pancake batter, laughing at Teo’s excited waving arms.
Mamma was making pancakes in the kitchen. The smell was wonderful! Dadda carried Teo downstairs. "Can you help me, Teo?" Dadda asked playfully. Teo bounced in his arms excitedly. Dadda held him near the mixing bowl. Teo watched the batter swirl around. "Stir, stir, stir," Dadda sang. Teo laughed and waved his arms. "You're such a good helper," Mamma said. Dadda kissed Teo's cheek. Working together was so much fun!
In the playroom, Dadda and Teo crouch on a soft rug stacking colorful blocks into a tall tower under bright midday light. Behind them, Mamma with warm smile and long brown hair tapes balloons and streamers to the wall.
After breakfast, Mamma had a secret plan. "Keep Dadda busy," she whispered to Teo. Teo babbled loudly to get Dadda's attention. "What's that, little man?" Dadda asked, smiling. Teo pointed at his colorful blocks. They built a tall tower together. Behind them, Mamma hung bright balloons. She put up streamers too. When they turned around, Dadda gasped. "Wow! How beautiful!" he exclaimed. Teo clapped his hands proudly. He loved making Dadda happy!
Afternoon light fills the living-room floor where Dadda sits cross-legged opposite Teo, a soft yellow ball midway between their hands.
Dadda sat on the floor with Teo. They rolled a soft ball back and forth. "Here it comes!" Dadda said cheerfully. The ball rolled to Teo. He grabbed it with both hands. Then he pushed it back toward Dadda. "Great job!" Dadda cheered loudly. Teo giggled with pure delight. They played peek-a-boo next. "Where's Dadda?" Mamma asked. "There he is!" Dadda appeared suddenly. Teo squealed with joy every time.
Cozy lamplight glows over the couch as Dadda reads an animal picture book, holding it open so Teo can point at a bright cartoon cow. Dadda’s mouth forms an exaggerated “Moo!” while Teo nestles happily against his chest.
Dadda picked up Teo's favorite book. It had pictures of animals. Teo loved the colorful pages. "Once upon a time," Dadda began. He used funny voices for each animal. "Moo!" said the cow. "Woof!" barked the dog. Teo pointed at the pictures excitedly. "That's right, a cat!" Dadda said. Teo snuggled closer against Dadda's chest. He felt so cozy and loved. Story time was always the best.
At the dining-table bathed in late-afternoon light, Dadda opens a handmade card showing Teo’s painted handprints and a blue heart. Teo pats his shoulder proudly while Mamma with warm smile and long brown hair watches, holding the envelope.
Mamma brought out something special. "Teo helped make this," she explained. It was a birthday card with Teo's handprints. Dadda opened it very carefully. Inside was a blue heart. "From your little boy," Mamma read aloud. Dadda's eyes got watery with happiness. "Thank you, Teo," he whispered softly. He hugged Teo extra tight. Teo patted Dadda's shoulder gently. "I love you too, son," Dadda said. It was the best gift ever.
Dim nursery lamplight casts gentle shadows as Dadda leans over Teo’s crib, softly singing while his hand rests on the wooden rail. Teo lies wrapped in a star-patterned blanket, eyelids drooping toward sleep.
After lunch, Teo felt sleepy. Dadda carried him to the nursery. He laid Teo in the crib gently. Teo's eyes were already closing. Dadda sang a soft lullaby. His voice was gentle and soothing. "Sleep well, my little boy," he said. He stayed until Teo fell asleep. Then Dadda quietly tiptoed out. Even on his birthday, he took care of Teo. That's what daddas do best.
In the candlelit kitchen, Teo bounces on Dadda’s hip, both facing the glowing candles. They sing as tiny flames illuminate their happy faces.
When Teo woke up, he smelled something sweet. Mamma had made a birthday cake! It had white frosting and strawberries. "Let's sing for Dadda," Mamma said. They brought out the cake together. Candles glowed on top. "Happy birthday to you!" Mamma sang. Teo made happy baby sounds along. Dadda blew out all the candles. "Make a wish!" Mamma said. Dadda looked at Teo and smiled. "I already have everything," he said.
Under the dining-room pendant light, Dadda offers Teo a spoonful of cake, the wiped plate beside them. Teo smiles wide with a dab of white frosting on his nose while Dadda gently holds his chin.
Dadda got a small piece of cake. "Want to try, Teo?" he asked. Teo opened his mouth wide. Dadda gave him a tiny taste. Teo's face lit up with surprise! "It's yummy, isn't it?" Mamma laughed. Teo smacked his lips happily. He had frosting on his nose. Dadda wiped it off gently. "You're a messy eater," Dadda teased. Teo giggled at his silly Dadda. They shared the sweet treat together.
Outside on a quiet neighborhood path at sunset, Dadda carries Teo against his shoulder while orange-pink clouds stretch across the sky. Soft twilight light bathes them as Teo points upward in wonder.
The sun was setting beautifully outside. Dadda carried Teo to the window. "Look at the pretty sky," he said. Orange and pink colors filled the clouds. Teo pointed up at the sky. "Yes, so beautiful," Dadda agreed. They went for a short walk outside. The evening air was cool and fresh. Teo nestled into Dadda's strong arms. He felt protected and loved. Being with Dadda was Teo's favorite place. They watched the first stars appear.
Moonlight streams through the nursery window as Dadda rocks sleeping Teo in a gently creaking chair.
Bedtime came too quickly. Dadda rocked Teo slowly. "Thank you for the best birthday," he whispered. Teo yawned a big yawn. "You make every day special, little one." Dadda kissed Teo's tiny head. Teo grabbed Dadda's shirt tight. "I love you more than all the stars," Dadda said softly. Teo's eyes closed peacefully. "Happy birthday, Dadda," Mamma whispered. Dadda smiled down at his sleeping son. Being Teo's Dadda was the greatest gift of all.
