In noon sunlight on a busy racetrack, Henry-Racer rockets his Red-Race-Car past the waving checkered flag before cheering grandstands. He grins, left hand on the wheel, right hand high in a friendly wave at colorful fan banners.
There was a boy named Henry Who loved to watch the stars. And his eyes were very twinkly As he raced round the track in his red race car. His car was very fast. And everyone who saw him said: “My oh, my, when Henry goes by It’s just a blur of red!”
Inside a brightly lit garage, Red-Rocket-Car gleams on display under the lights, while a huge poster of the Sun's solar system covers the back wall. Henry-Racer, holding a wrench in one hand, smiles proudly as he stands beside looking at Red-Rocket-Car, various mechanic tools lying on the ground all around.
One day Henry decided He’d like to go to outer space To see the stars in the sky And the planets face-to-face. So he built a big red rocket fin And attached it to the back of his car And placed a silver shiny cone on front And a glass dome over the seats and chrome roll bar. He also made different attachments For the windshields, wheels and rocket fins So he could fly or drive in different places Like in the sky and in space Or on planets with lots of wind.
Henry-Racer flies in Red-Rocket-Car with fiery flames trailing from the rear of his rocket, high above the World over the skies of north America.
Now his Rocket Car was ready, So he took off with a blast! He flew around the world 3 times And landed back home aghast. “Wow, that was fast!” Henry said. My car is faster than a rocket ship!” And he was so happy and excited That he jumped up and did a little flip.
On the sunlit gray surface of the Moon, Red-Rocket-Car rests beside moon rocks and dusty craters. Henry-Astronaut stands nearby smiling at Robot-Bear, who silently points up. Blue-marbled Earth hangs in blue space filled with stars
“Now I think it’s time to see the stars” Henry said. And he took off with a zoom! And before you know it Henry landed on the moon. There he met a brown furry robot That looked just like a bear With a still robot face. “Which way to the milky way?” Henry asked. And with a blank stare the furry robot bear Blinked three times and pointed off in space.
Above a dusty orange Martian valley beneath bright sunlight, Henry-Astronaut drives inside the cockpit of Red-Rocket-Car flies over planet Mars. Down below he sees lots of Martian-Car vehicles driving around over rocks and sand, and down steep red hills.
“Thanks!" said Henry, "now I have to go.” He jumped back in his Rocket Car. And with the speed of light He landed on planet Mars. While on Mars He saw lots of little silver Martian cars With big puffy doughnut wheels. They did not fly, But just drove by Over rocks and sand and down steep red hills.
Henry-Spacesuit blasts off the surface of planet Saturn inside the glass dome cockpit of Red-Rocket-Car with it's four silver wheels, 100 feet above the ground with fiery red and orange rocket flames beneath the rocket, and the beautiful blue starry space visible over Uranus's glowing green horizon with Neptune in the far distance, as He, throws one arm up and cheers!
Next, Henry flew to Uranus, A giant gassy ice-planet. He carefully brought down His rocket car to the ground. But the ground was soft and spongy And Henry’s rocket car started to wobble. So with a great roar he blasted off again, Like a giant cork exploding from a bottle..
Red-Rocket-Car, with it's four chrome mag wheels and silver fenders, red tail fin and glass dome cockpit, rests alone on the surface of planet Pluto. Henry-Astronaut, in his glass space helmet and red and silver space boots, stands nearby looking up in awe at the five soft-glowing white crater moons hanging above Pluto in the starry midnight blue sky above Pluto's purple glowing horizon with light streaked space behind.
This time Henry went far, far, out into space, And came to a tiny little planet named Pluto That has five white moons. As Henry gazed at the five white moons He thought they looked more like five white prunes.
Deep blue space shimmers as Henry-Spacesuit inside the glass dome cockpit, guides the Red-Rocket-Car homeward, fiery jets stretching behind. Far distant Pluto and its five tiny pale moons fade in the background like ghosts.
Then with a turn of his steering wheel And a push on his throttle, His Red Rocket Car took off with a rattle He swooshed away from Pluto And it’s five white moons, Which faded away in the deep dark space Like five ghostly goons.
Against a star-speckled backdrop, Henry-Spacesuit inside the glass dome cockpit, banks the Red-Rocket-Car past magnificent Saturn, blue-white jet trails curving beside the planet’s sparkling rings.
He soared past Saturn, And through its icy crystal rings. And the sight was so pretty It made him want to sing. (”Mama Mia, mama Mia!”).
Above dusty Mars at dusk, Red-Rocket-Car zooms. Henry-Astronaut waves energetically above the Martian-Car vehicles rolling below spraying sand as they drive over red rocky hills and sand.
He honked his horn as he flew past Mars With all it’s silver puffy doughnut-wheeled car
100 feet above the gray sunlit lunar plain strewn with craters, Red-Rocket-Car with it's four silver wheels and red tail fin, flies over Robot-Bear who is standing alone on the dusty ground, solemnly looking up. Henry-Astronaut leans out and looks down from the cockpit of Red-Rocket-Car and waves, while the Earth glows large behind in the luminous and bright blue star filled space.
And as he passed the Earth’s Moon, He waved to the furry robot bear Who just looked up at him With a blank robot stare.
In the golden evening light of a suburban driveway, Red-Rocket-Car looms large in the foreground, gleaming and resting on a large red-and-white round launchpad. Henry-Spacesuit stands beside with hands on hips, beaming proudly. Neighbors of all ages gather in a semicircle, smiling and laughing, adults clapping, children raising their arms.
Henry finally landed back on Earth At his house on the rocket car landing pad. And everyone who saw him said: “My, oh my, when Henry flies by It’s just a blur of red!”
