Hensleigh skips into the yard. She's looking for something. "Sissy, my secret friend," she whispers. A small brown monkey peeks out of the bushes. "We stay hidden, okay?" Sissy chitters. No it's okay, we can come out and play, no one will see you.

Hensleigh tells Sissy that green is her favorite color. Sissy twirls her long tail happily. And gives Hensleigh a pretty green ribbon for her hair. "Let's play tag," Hensleigh giggles, running. Sissy runs after her, soft paws pattering.

"Climb!" Hensleigh points to the tree. Sissy scrambles up first. Hensleigh pretends to be a monkey too pretends she has as tail. She holds Sissys hand tight so she doesn't fall. They sit on the big limb watching the butterflies and laughing.

The gate rattles in the wind. "Hide, Sissy!" Hensleigh whispers quickly. Sissy slips into the green backpack. Hensleigh hums, pretending she's alone. it was just the wind; they breathe again.

"We need a secret code," she says. Sissy taps the branch three times. Hensleigh answers with two soft taps. "Three means hide; two means play." They practice, giggling between whispers.

Raindrops starts to fall; they move to the porch. "Green blanket fort!" Hensleigh announces. Sissy holds clips with a tail. They draw leaves using green crayons. "Our secret jungle," she smiles; Sissy chirps.

Sunshine returns; puddles sparkle. they start to look for treasure under the rainbow."Follow the stones!" Hensleigh points. Sissy balances, tail swishing for steadiness. They hop, skip, and whisper treasure plans. "X marks here," she says; Sissy digs gently.

Wind whooshes; Hensleigh's green ribbon flies. "Oh no, my favorite!" she gasps. Sissy scans branches, eyes bright. "Mission find-it," Hensleigh says we got to find it. They search under leaves and swings.

The gate clanks; both freeze. "Three taps," Hensleigh whispers. Tap, tap, tap. Sissy hides; wind whistles harmlessly. They spot a green glimmer in the tree. "There!" she points to a forked branch.

Sissy climbs smoothly toward the ribbon. Hensleigh steadies the trunk, encouraging. "You've got it!" she cheers. Sissy as she climbed the tree. They hugged, laughing, the ribbon safe.

"Teamwork keeps secrets safe," she says. Sissy taps twice: time to play. They spin, dance, and play a little longer. Hensleigh ties the ribbon on Sissy's wrist. "You're my best secret friend.

Dusk glows; the sky twinkles softly. They curl under the green blanket. "Our secret stays safe," Hensleigh whispers. Sissy rests, tail around her arm. Tomorrow, they'll play again, together.
