Leo bounced with excitement. Today was a school day! Mom knelt down and held his hands. "Remember, Leo, never talk to strangers," she said gently. "If a grown-up you don't know offers something or asks you to go somewhere, come to me or your teacher first." Leo nodded seriously. "I promise, Mom!" he said with a big smile. Mom kissed his forehead. "That's my brave boy. Now let's get your backpack ready!" Leo felt happy and safe knowing Mom's rule would keep him protected.

Leo walked toward school, humming his favorite song. Near the park, a man he didn't know stood by the fence. The stranger held out colorful candy. "Hello there! Would you like some candy?" he asked with a smile. Leo stopped walking. The candy looked yummy, but something felt wrong. He remembered Mom's words clearly in his mind. "No, thank you," Leo said politely but firmly. Without waiting, he walked quickly past the stranger. His heart beat fast, but he felt proud. He knew exactly what to do next.

Leo spotted his teacher near the school gate. Her long brown hair swayed as she greeted children. "Teacher! Teacher!" Leo called, running to her. She smiled warmly and took his hand. "Good morning, Leo! You look worried. What happened?" Leo explained about the stranger with the candy. Teacher squeezed his hand gently. "You did exactly the right thing, Leo. You were very brave and smart!" she said proudly. Leo felt relief wash over him. He was safe now with someone he trusted. Together, they walked into school, hand in hand.

After school, Leo ran to Mom waiting at the gate. "Mom! Mom! Something happened today!" he exclaimed. Leo told her about the stranger and the candy. Mom's face became serious, then softened with pride. She knelt down and wrapped Leo in the biggest hug. "I'm so proud of you, Leo, for being brave and keeping yourself safe," Mom said, her voice full of love. Leo beamed. "I remembered your rule, Mom!" Mom smiled. "You're my wonderful, smart boy. You did perfectly." Leo felt like a superhero. He had kept himself safe!
