Hello, I am Rey, and today is Saturday. There is no school today. It’s family time! I cheer, ‘Hip-hip, hooray!
Under midday sun on the driveway hoop, Eden spins a basketball on one fingertip, curly hair bouncing, focused grin. Rey laughs beside him, arms outstretched to receive the pass.
Big brother Eden spins the ball. His curly hair bounces, standing tall. "Pass to me!" I laugh, I call. We dash and score, giving our all. Then quick-switch to football, best of all.
Afternoon light and TV glow fill the living-room; Rey and Dad lean forward on the couch, gripping controllers and sharing huge smiles as a soccer goal flashes on screen. Stacked game cases lie on the coffee table.
Dad laces cleats; we sprint to win. "Nice throw, Rey!" he says with grin. Later, controllers click, worlds spin. "Watch the goal!" I shout again. We high-five, teammates thick and thin.
Morning light floods the living-room; Rey kneels on the rug, steadying Baby Ofelia's tiny first step. Ofelia beams toothlessly, a colorful rattle lying beside them.
Baby Ofelia claps tiny steps. "Hold my hands," I say, "no frets." Her short curly hair bounces, she preps. One wobble, two waddles, joy she reps. We dance and giggle, happy steps.
Sunny afternoon light pours through open car windows; Rey and MOM in the front seats sing toward the dashboard stereo, hair and smiles wide. Trees blur outside the glass.
Mom says, "Car ride?" I jump inside. We sing la-la-la, notes glide. Windows down, breeze our guide. "Another chorus!" I laugh with pride. We park, hearts humming side-by-side.
Under a cozy evening lamp, Rey and MOM face each other at the dining table with a bright board game and dice between them. MOM grins while Rey grasps his playing piece.
Board games pop open, dice roll. "Your turn, Rey," says Mom, gentle soul. I plan my move, choose a goal. We laugh at twists, surprise patrol. Win or learn, love plays the role.
Moonlit backyard gleams; Rey tosses a tennis ball upward. Charley, white medium dog, springs to catch while Luna, large golden-brown, sits beside him howling, both tails sweeping the grass.
Charley, white goldendoodle, prances in tune. Luna, large golden-brown, howls at moon. "Fetch!" I call, they rocket soon. Paws skid, tails paint a swoon. We cuddle, furry choir croons a tune.
Midday sun warms the backyard where a checkered blanket holds sandwiches and fruit. Rey clinks a paper cup with laughing Dad as Eden and Charley sprint in the background.
Backyard picnic sparkles under sun. "Pass the fruit," says Dad, "my son." Eden races Charley; swift legs run. Mom laughs, "This sandwich is fun!" I clink cups, "Family number one!"
Afternoon light streaks through the study window onto open notebooks. Eden sits beside Rey at the desk, pointing to a colorful chart with a calm smile while Rey copies numbers, brow furrowed in focus.
Eden helps homework, patient and smart. "Try this trick," he says, "chart by part." I nod, numbers dance, problems depart. We high-five, learning feels like art. My proud grin warms every heart.
Rain drums windows; a blanket fort glows with string lights in the living-room. Inside, MOM reads an open storybook while Rey lounges on pillows, eyes wide in awe.
Clouds clap, pitter-patter rainy rain. "Fort time!" I say, "blanket train!" Mom reads stories, brave and humane. Dad joins cards; Eden beats again. Ofelia babbles, giggles sparkle our brain.
Soft bedside lamp glows in Rey's star-themed bedroom at night. Rey in rocket pajamas sits up smiling as MOM smooths his blanket and Dad leans closer whispering 'dream big'.
Bath-time splashes, pajamas soft and light. "Goodnight, Rey," says Mom, "sleep tight." Dad whispers, "Dream big, take flight." I hug Ofelia, stars blink bright. Eden fist-bumps, "Brothers forever," night.
Warm evening lamplight fills the living-room; Rey kneels on the rug, eyes closed in a smile as Charley and Luna nuzzle his chest. Family photos glow softly on a shelf behind.
My family gathers, cozy together. "I love you all," I whisper, "forever." Charley and Luna nuzzle like feather. Mom, Dad, Eden, Ofelia—best treasure. Being in one room? Perfect weather.
