Joseph smiled as he wore the special coat from his father, Jacob. His brothers grumbled, jealous of the love Joseph received. One brother whispered, “Why does Joseph get all the attention?” Joseph tried to share his dream, but his brothers grew angrier. “One day, you’ll bow to me,” Joseph said kindly, not knowing it would upset them more. The brothers began to plot against him.

One day, Joseph’s brothers grabbed him and took off his coat. “Let’s sell him to those travelers!” said one brother. Joseph cried out, “Please, don’t do this!” But the brothers gave him to traders going to Egypt. Joseph felt scared and alone, but remembered God was with him. The traders led Joseph away while the brothers watched.

Joseph worked hard in Egypt, even as a servant. Because he was honest and wise, Pharaoh made him a governor. “You are wise and trustworthy,” Pharaoh told Joseph. Joseph helped save food for everyone during a big famine. He remembered his family and wondered if he would ever see them again. Joseph always prayed and trusted God’s plan.

Years later, Joseph’s brothers came to Egypt for food. They didn’t recognize Joseph at first. “Do you remember me?” Joseph asked, smiling gently. The brothers were scared, but Joseph said, “I forgive you.” Everyone hugged, happy to be a family again. Joseph’s kindness showed the power of forgiveness and love.
