John Jr went to church one sunny Sunday morning. He was learning about Jesus' 12 disciples. John Jr was very curious and went up to the pastor. He asked him to tell more about Judas Iscariot. The pastor smiled and began the story.

Judas Iscariot was one of Jesus' disciples. He was a Jewish man. Judas was trusted by Jesus and the other disciples. But Judas made a very bad choice. This choice would change everything.

Judas decided to betray Jesus. He went to the leaders who did not like Jesus. They offered him 30 pieces of silver. Judas agreed to show them who Jesus was. He planned to do this in the Garden of Gethsemane.

One night, Jesus and his disciples went to the Garden of Gethsemane. Judas was there too. He kissed Jesus on the cheek and called him 'master'. This was the sign to the soldiers. They arrested Jesus and took him away.

At the Last Supper, Jesus had predicted Judas' betrayal. He told his disciples that one of them would betray him. The disciples were very sad and confused. Jesus knew it would be Judas. Judas left the supper early to meet the soldiers.

After Jesus was arrested, Judas felt very bad. He was overcome by remorse. He tried to return the 30 pieces of silver. The priests would not accept the money. Judas threw the silver on the ground and ran away.

Judas was afflicted by God's wrath. He could not live with what he had done. The guilt was too much for him to bear. He felt very alone and sad. Judas decided to end his own life.

John Jr listened carefully to the pastor's story. He learned that making bad choices can have serious consequences. He also learned about forgiveness and remorse. John Jr decided to always make good choices and be kind. He thanked the pastor and went home with a lesson in his heart.
