John Jr went to church one sunny Sunday morning. He was learning about Jesus' 12 disciples. John Jr was very curious and went up to the pastor. He asked him to tell more about Judas Iscariot. The pastor smiled and began the story.

One night, Jesus and his disciples went to the Garden of Gethsemane. Judas was there too. He kissed Jesus on the cheek and called him 'master'. This was the sign to the soldiers. They arrested Jesus and took him away.

At the Last Supper, Jesus had predicted Judas' betrayal. He told his disciples that one of them would betray him. The disciples were very sad and confused. Jesus knew it would be Judas. Judas left the supper early to meet the soldiers.

After Jesus was arrested, Judas felt very bad. He was overcome by remorse. He tried to return the 30 pieces of silver. The priests would not accept the money. Judas threw the silver on the ground and ran away.
