Inside the special classroom on a bright morning, Miss Sarah stands near a whiteboard, smiling warmly. A boy with short black hair wiggles on his chair while the girl with medium black hair sits upright, listening.
Miss Sarah smiled in the special classroom. "Today we practice classroom rules," she said. The boy with short black hair wiggled. The girl with medium black hair listened. Everyone got ready.
Under fluorescent classroom lights, Miss Sarah sits tall and still at a small table, eyes forward. Nearby, the boy stands leaning toward a shelf, fingers touching supplies, while empty chairs wait.
Miss Sarah said, "Sit on your chair, feet on the floor, eyes on me." The boy stood, leaned, and wandered, touching things. "Watch me," she said, sitting tall and still.
In the brightly lit classroom afternoon, Miss Sarah and the boy stand beside their desks, arms stretched overhead during a quick wiggle break. Chairs and papers sit still around them.
The boy tried to sit, but his body still wanted to move. "Quick wiggle break," Miss Sarah said, and they stretched. She helped him sit again, feet flat, eyes forward.
Late-afternoon sun glows through the classroom windows as the boy sits straight at his desk, feet flat, hands quiet. Miss Sarah stands beside him giving a thumbs-up, and the girl across the aisle smiles proudly.
After minutes, the boy sat better and listened. Feet down, eyes forward, hands still. "Great job trying your best," Miss Sarah said. The girl smiled, and the boy felt proud.
