Inside a sun-lit classroom, Teacher Siegke stands beside low tables, smiling warmly, as other students in the background stack colorful blocks beneath bright wall drawings. Morning light pours through large windows, creating a cheerful atmosphere.
At this school there are many children. Big and small, fast and slow. Everyone learns in their own way. "We help together," says Teacher Siegke with a smile.
In a quiet corner of the daytime classroom, Lou sits on a small rug, lips parted in hesitation and brow furrowed. Teacher Siegke kneels beside him, gently touching his shoulder and offering an encouraging smile under soft overhead lights.
This is Lou. Lou is three years old. Saying words is sometimes hard for Lou. "Don't worry," says Siegke. "We help together."
On the sun-dappled playroom carpet, Mara arranges puzzle pieces rapidly while Irsa giggles beside a tower of foam blocks. Afternoon light streams through open windows, illuminating their focused faces and scattered toys.
This is Mara. Little Irsa plays with Mara every day. Mara is four years old. Her head thinks very fast. "We help together," they say.
In the brightly lit classroom, Teacher Siegke points to a row of laminated pictogram cards fixed on a whiteboard. Lou stands beside her, eyes wide and a shy smile forming as he follows her finger.
Teacher Siegke looks carefully in the classroom. She uses pictures and small steps. Lou looks at the pictograms. "Good job, Lou!" says Siegke. Learning feels nicer.
Siegke sits with Lou's parents, discussing and drawing tools for class together.
Siegke talks with mom and dad. They draw and talk together about Lou. They try extra tools in class. "This will help," says dad. Learning feels nicer.
Morning sunlight filters into the classroom as Teacher Siegke stands beside a calm CLB advisor with a clipboard near the reading corner. They observe Lou tracing picture cards on a desk, both wearing attentive, encouraging expressions.
Then someone from the CLB comes to visit. They look calmly and listen well. "What already helps? What is still hard?" they ask. "We help together," everyone agrees.
In the staff-room under warm ceiling lights, Teacher Siegke shakes hands with a calm CLB advisor with a clipboard beside a poster reading 'Pilar Support'. Both smile optimistically over a table scattered with colorful assistive gadgets.
The CLB says: "We ask for extra help." Then Pilar can help the school. Pilar helps schools and classrooms every day. "Thank you," says Siegke. Learning feels nicer.
In the sunlit school hallway, Aïsha stands by a bulletin board, waving warmly as she introduces herself. Morning light glints off her staff badge, and cheerful student artwork frames the scene.
This is Aïsha from Pilar. Aïsha works at Pilar helping schools. She is a learning support teacher. "Hello everyone, I'm here to help," she says warmly.
Inside the afternoon classroom, Aïsha spreads colorful sensory tools across a low table while Teacher Siegke leans in, thoughtful and smiling. Soft window light casts gentle shadows on shelves of books and puzzles behind them.
Aïsha talks with Teacher Siegke about the children. She shows tools in the classroom. She thinks together with the whole school. "We help together," they both say happily.
Siegke holds up an apple card while Lou points and smiles.
Aïsha brings colorful picture cards for Lou. She shows Siegke how to use them. "Lou, can you point to the apple?" asks Siegke. Lou smiles and points correctly.
Under ceiling lights in the refreshed classroom, Principal Eli stands by the doorway, arms crossed and smiling proudly. At a low activity table, Irsa and Mara giggle while sorting new tactile tiles, colorful bins surrounding their chairs.
Principal Eli visits the classroom to see the changes. "This looks wonderful," he says proudly. Irsa and Mara play with the new tools. Everyone is learning and having fun together.
In the softly lit afternoon classroom, Lou studies clear picture cards at a small desk while Mara relaxes on a beanbag in a quiet corner. Teacher Siegke watches them both from midway, hands clasped, wearing a satisfied smile.
Lou gets time and clear pictures to learn. Mara gets a calm place and movement breaks. Teacher Siegke knows what works for each child. And everyone belongs at this school.
