Leo the Lion stood outside the bright, colorful school. Children played all around him. He wore his new backpack and had the biggest smile. "Roar! Today is my first day at school! I can't wait to learn!" Leo said happily. He looked at the playground and then at the big school doors. His heart felt so excited. Everything looked wonderful and new.

Leo walked into his classroom and sat at a desk. He reached for his backpack to get his things. When he opened it, his smile faded away. The backpack was completely empty! "Oh no! I forgot my things! What will I do?" Leo said sadly. He looked around at the other children. They all had pencils and crayons. Leo felt worried.

A friendly monkey swung down from the tree outside the window. He saw Leo looking sad through the glass. The monkey came inside and walked over to Leo. "Hey Leo! What's wrong? You look sad!" said Max the Monkey. Leo looked up with big, worried eyes. "I forgot my things! I need them for class!" Leo explained.

Max the Monkey thought very hard about Leo's problem. Suddenly, a lightbulb seemed to appear above his head! He smiled widely at Leo. "Don't worry! I can help you! I have some things in my bag!" Max said cheerfully. Leo's eyes grew bright with hope. "Really? That would be great! Thank you, Max!" Leo said with relief.

Max opened his colorful backpack wide. Inside were many different stationery items. "Look! I have a pencil, a pen, and an eraser! You can borrow them!" Max said happily. Leo looked at all the supplies with wonder. "Wow! That's perfect! What else do you have?" Leo asked excitedly. Max reached deeper into his bag. "I have some crayons! We can draw together!"

Leo felt happy again, and sparkles seemed to dance around him. "Thank you, Max! I can use the pencil to write!" Leo said gratefully. Max smiled and handed Leo an eraser. "And the eraser is great for fixing mistakes! Let's share!" Max said kindly. Leo nodded with joy. He couldn't believe how lucky he was. Max was such a good friend already.

Leo and Max sat together at a desk in the classroom. Other children sat around them with their supplies ready. The teacher smiled at everyone. "Look at all the fun we can have! Let's make a big poster!" Max suggested. Leo nodded eagerly. "Yes! I can draw a sun, and you can draw a tree!" They got ready to work together.

Leo picked up the yellow crayon Max had shared. He carefully drew a big, bright sun on the poster. Max used the green crayon to draw a tall tree. They worked side by side, helping each other. "Your sun looks great!" Max said. "Your tree is wonderful too!" Leo replied. They smiled at their colorful creation. Working together was so much fun.

Other children noticed Leo and Max having fun. They came over with their own supplies and ideas. "Can we help too?" asked a friendly rabbit. "Of course!" Leo and Max said together. Soon, everyone was sharing pencils, crayons, and markers. The classroom buzzed with happy voices. Children drew flowers, clouds, and animals. The poster grew bigger and more colorful. Nobody worked alone.

Leo looked around at all his new classmates. "I love school! I have a pencil and an eraser! What do you have?" he asked. A small bear held up her crayons. "I have crayons! Let's all share!" she said happily. Everyone agreed that sharing made everything more fun. They passed supplies back and forth. Each child helped the others. Leo realized something important. Friends make everything better.

The classroom was filled with happy children using their stationery together. Colorful drawings covered the walls and desks. Everyone worked on different projects, but they all helped each other. The teacher looked at the class with pride. "We have pencils, pens, and more! Let's learn and have fun together!" everyone said together. Leo roared happily. His first day was wonderful.

When the school day ended, Leo packed his borrowed supplies carefully. "Thank you for sharing with me, Max," Leo said warmly. Max smiled back at his new friend. "That's what friends do! See you tomorrow!" Max replied. Leo walked out of school with the biggest smile. He had learned so much on his first day. And best of all, he had made wonderful new friends.
