Under the sunny grasslands, Leo sits in the yellow savanna grass while a large male lion with a golden mane gently pats his head. Dust motes shimmer in the warm afternoon light and distant acacia trees dot the horizon.
Leo was a little lion. He lived with his family in the grasslands. Leo wanted to roar like the big lions. He tried every day. But his roar was very small. "Roar..." squeaked Leo. The big lions could roar so loudly! Leo's roar sounded more like a tiny squeak. He felt frustrated. "Why can't I roar like them?" Leo wondered. His father patted his head. "You will, little one," he said kindly.
At dawn on a lone rock in the open grassland, Leo stands tall, chest puffed, facing the pink sunrise. Soft morning light silhouettes his tiny figure as he opens his mouth wide, pushing out a determined but still small roar.
Leo felt sad. "My roar is too small," he said to his mother. His mother smiled warmly at him. "You are still growing," she said. "Keep practicing every day." Leo nodded. He decided to practice his roar. Every morning, Leo would stand on a rock. He would take a deep breath. Then he would try to roar as loud as he could. "Roar!" he would say. It was still small, but Leo did not give up.
Beneath a broad acacia tree at midday, Leo crouches beside a little rabbit with soft brown fur. Dappled light hits the grass as the worried rabbit looks up and Leo inhales deeply, ready to roar for help.
One day, Leo heard a cry. "Help! Help!" called a small voice. Leo ran to see what was wrong. A little rabbit was sitting under a tree. The rabbit looked scared and alone. "I'm lost," said the rabbit sadly. "I can't find my family." Leo wanted to help his new friend. He thought hard about what to do. Then Leo had an idea! "I will roar to call your family," he said. Leo took a very deep breath.
On the bright savanna, Leo stands atop the rock, mane lifted by wind, mouth wide in a triumphant roar. Beside him, a little rabbit with soft brown fur perks its ears, startled by the echo sweeping across the golden grass.
"ROAR!" shouted Leo with all his might. This time, his roar was loud and strong! It echoed across the grasslands. The rabbit's ears perked up. Soon, Leo and the rabbit heard paws running. The rabbit's family came hopping over the hill! They hugged the little rabbit happily. "Thank you, Leo!" said the rabbit. Leo's family cheered for him proudly. Leo felt so happy. He had practiced every day, and now his roar was big and strong!
