Morning sunlight fills Lila's pastel bedroom as she kneels on the rug, arms spread in delight. Seven colorful cats form a neat rainbow line across the floor beneath bright window light.
Lila woke up to seven furry faces looking at her. "Good morning, my rainbow friends!" she giggled. Ruby the red cat purred loudly. Orange stretched beside her. Sunny bounced on the bed. Emerald, Sky, Indigo, and Violet all meowed together. "Today will be a colorful day!" said Lila. The cats lined up like a rainbow across her room. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and purple—all so beautiful! "I love you all," Lila said, hugging each one. Together, they went downstairs for breakfast, ready for adventure.
Under a sunny afternoon tree in the park, Lila stands on the grass gazing upward, worried. High on a sturdy branch, a red cat with shiny fur balances while cradling a tiny grey mouse in its mouth.
Ruby loved red things—apples, fire trucks, and ladybugs! Today, little mouse was stuck in a tree. "Help!" squeaked the mouse. Lila looked up. "It's so high!" Ruby stepped forward bravely. "I can climb!" she said. Ruby climbed up, up, up the tall tree. Her red fur shone in the sunlight. She reached the mouse gently. "Hold on tight!" Ruby carefully climbed down with the mouse. Everyone cheered! "You were so brave, Ruby!" said Lila, hugging her red cat. The mouse thanked them and scurried home happily.
In a sunlit park clearing, Lila kneels beside a picnic table where an orange cat with playful eyes nudges a wicker basket brimming with orange slices toward her. Warm afternoon light sparkles on the juicy fruit.
Orange loved everything orange—carrots, pumpkins, and butterflies! At the park, Orange found a big basket of orange slices. "Yummy!" Orange purred. But then she saw her cat friends looking hungry. Lila smiled. "What should we do, Orange?" Orange thought hard. Then she pushed the basket toward everyone. "Let's share!" she meowed. Ruby, Sunny, Emerald, Sky, Indigo, and Violet all got orange slices. They ate together happily. "Sharing makes everyone happy!" said Lila. Orange purred proudly. The sun shone bright orange in the sky above them.
Late-morning sunlight bathes Grandma Rose’s flower garden; she kneels near wilted stems while Lila gently pours water from a small can. Beside them, a yellow cat glowing like sunshine stretches a paw toward newly sprouting sunflower buds.
Sunny was bright yellow like sunshine! In the garden, Sunny saw Grandma Rose looking sad. "My flowers won't grow," Grandma sighed. Lila and Sunny wanted to help. "We can water them!" said Lila. Sunny used her special power to make sunshine warm and bright. Lila carried water carefully. Together they watered every flower. The cats all helped dig and plant seeds. Soon, yellow sunflowers began to bloom! Grandma Rose smiled big. "Thank you, Lila and Sunny!" The garden turned beautiful and bright. Helping others feels wonderful!
