Lulu bounced excitedly on her brand new bed. Her very own room had purple walls and star stickers on the ceiling. "What do you think, Lulu?" asked Mom, arranging stuffed animals on a shelf. Lulu hugged her favorite teddy bear and smiled, "It's perfect!"

As the sun set, shadows crept across Lulu's new room. The star stickers didn't glow as brightly as she hoped. Lulu clutched her teddy bear tighter, watching the dark corners grow. "Maybe I don't want my own room after all," she whispered.

"Time for bed, sweetheart," Dad said, pulling the colorful blanket up to Lulu's chin. Mom sat on the edge of the bed and stroked Lulu's brown hair. "We're so proud of you sleeping in your big girl room," she said, giving Lulu a goodnight kiss. Dad kissed her forehead too and whispered, "Sweet dreams."

After her parents left, Lulu heard strange noises under her bed. "M-monsters," she whispered, trembling under her blanket. Suddenly, she remembered her favorite superhero always said, "Bravery isn't about not being scared—it's about facing your fears!" Lulu took a deep breath, grabbed her flashlight, and became her own superhero, shining light under the bed to chase away imaginary monsters.
