In the muddy backyard on a gray, rainy morning, Lulu Sunshine leaps into a puddle, yellow rain boots splashing water high. Her curly pigtails fly upward as she laughs, raindrops glittering in the cool daylight.
One morning, dark clouds filled the sky. Drip. Drop. Drizzle. Lulu Sunshine loved rainy days! She put on her yellow rain boots and ran outside. Splash! Splash! Splash! She jumped in puddles while her curly pigtails bounced up and down. "This is the best!" Lulu giggled. The rain felt cool on her face. Her boots made the biggest splashes ever. Lulu twirled and danced in the raindrops.
Beneath a broad garden leaf on the drizzly morning, Lulu kneels on wet grass, holding a tiny umbrella above a shivering little green frog. She smiles softly while the frog looks up, raindrops beading on the umbrella's edge.
Suddenly, Lulu noticed something tiny under a leaf. "Ribbit... ribbit..." It was a little green frog! "Hello, Frog!" Lulu said softly. The frog looked cold and sleepy. His tiny body was shivering. Lulu felt sad for the little frog. She gently held her tiny umbrella over him. "There you go," she smiled warmly. The frog looked up at her. Then he gave a happy "RIBBIT!" Lulu clapped her hands with joy.
In the rain-soaked backyard, Lulu twirls in mid-step, arms out, as half a dozen little green frogs hop in a circle around her yellow boots, water splashing upward. Dim daylight makes every droplet gleam.
Soon, more little frogs hopped over. Hop! Hop! Hop! They came from under rocks and leaves. "More friends!" Lulu laughed happily. The frogs jumped around her boots. Lulu danced with the frogs in the rain. Splashing. Hopping. Twirling. "You're all such good dancers!" she told them. The frogs ribbited back at her. It sounded like they were singing. Lulu had never had so much fun before.
Under a clearing sky in the backyard, Lulu stands on damp grass, waving with a wide grin as a rainbow arcs overhead. Several little green frogs leap toward distant bushes, sunlight catching the last glittering puddles beside her yellow boots.
When the rain stopped, a beautiful rainbow stretched across the sky. "Wowww," Lulu whispered in wonder. The colors were so bright and pretty! The frogs leaped happily back home. Hop! Hop! Hop! They ribbited goodbye to Lulu. She waved at each little frog. "Bye bye, friends!" Lulu called out. As the last frog disappeared, Lulu smiled big. "Rainy days are magical," she said to herself. She skipped home with joy.
