“Let’s go exploring!” Ella said with a cheer. Grandpa smiled, “I love when you’re near.” They skipped to the park, hand in hand, Building castles and ships in the sand.

Grandpa paused, unsure of the way. “Which path, sweet Ella?” he started to say. She pointed to flowers, bright pink and blue. “Let’s follow the petals—they’ll guide us through!”

Down the slide they whooshed, laughter in the air. Ella’s giggle bubbles made Grandpa stare. “I forgot how fun sliding can be.” “Let’s do it again, Grandpa! Count—one, two, three!”

They shared peanut butter under the sun. Grandpa mixed up their cups—oops, what fun! “This is your juice, Grandpa. That one’s mine.” “Thanks, my dear. Are we having a good time?”

“I forget which way to the zoo,” Grandpa said. “Let’s skip together and follow the red!” Lions and monkeys, chattering nearby, “You remembered the animals!” Ella smiled wide.

Near the monkeys, Grandpa hummed a tune. Ella danced, spinning like the moon. “I forgot the words—can you help me sing?” “I’ll teach you, Grandpa! That’s our new thing.”

Sand in their toes, chasing waves that roar, Grandpa forgot he’d built castles before. Ella scooped sand, “Let’s build one anew!” “I like these memories, Ella, made with you.”

Up went their kite, high in the sky. Grandpa forgot how to tie, so Ella gave it a try. “You did it, Ella! The kite soars above.” “We fly it together, Grandpa, with love!”

At sunset, Grandpa stumbled over names. Ella only grinned—she played no games. “Let’s make up stories, silly and new.” “With your help, they’re the best, it’s true!”

When Grandpa forgets, Ella squeezes tight. “We’ll make new memories, day and night. I love you forever, even when things change.” “With you, my Ella, love’s never strange.”
