Hunter watched Daddy butter toast, tapping beats. Daddy smiled, his shiny bald head glowing. 'DJ time soon?' Hunter asked. 'Always,' Daddy chuckled. Hunter's long hair swished as he drummed lightly.

They cleaned headphones together after school. 'Gentle circles,' Daddy said. Hunter wiped carefully, counting softly, 'One, two, three.' 'Perfect,' Daddy grinned. The apartment hummed with bass from tiny speakers.

Hunter pointed at colorful stickers on playlists. 'Blue means happy,' Daddy explained. 'Red means fast!' Hunter guessed. They clapped four beats, then eight. The rhythm hopped like sunshine on puddles.

Daddy raised the microphone gently. 'Good evening, friends!' he practiced. Hunter giggled, 'And tiny friends!' They bowed to the sofa audience. The lamp spotlight made everything feel grand.

They coiled cables like sleeping noodles. 'No knots,' Daddy reminded. Hunter zipped the controller bag carefully. 'I'm your best helper,' he declared. Daddy nodded, 'And my favorite DJ-in-training.'

At the sunny park, speakers stood tall. 'Level, then plug,' Daddy said. Hunter placed stickers on volume knobs. Wind swirled; music waited. 'Ready?' Daddy asked. 'Ready!' Hunter cheered.

Daddy tapped play; a beat bloomed. 'Check, one, two,' he spoke. Hunter cupped ears, nodding. 'Kick drum softer?' he suggested. Daddy slid a fader, smiling. The groove felt just right.

Lights blinked like friendly fireflies. 'Here we go,' Daddy whispered. The first song lifted the day. Hunter bounced, clapping time. Nearby footsteps echoed the beat, like happy hearts.

Daddy guided Hunter's hands gently. 'Slide slowly,' Daddy coached. Hunter breathed in, then faded tracks together. The music changed like sunrise. 'You did it!' Daddy beamed. Hunter whispered, 'I feel brave'.

'We keep ears safe,' Daddy said. They practiced lowering volume politely. 'Thank you for asking,' Hunter told imaginary listeners. Daddy modeled a friendly wave. Music stayed joyful, never too loud.

Golden light stretched across cables. 'Slow song,' Daddy announced softly. Hunter stepped onto Daddy's sneakers. They swayed, counting together, 'One, two.' The world felt safe, warm, and musical.

Back home, they unplugged the day. 'Bedtime, DJ Hunter,' Daddy whispered. Hunter curled beneath blankets, still smiling. 'Teach me more tomorrow?' he asked. 'Always,' said Daddy, turning beats into lullabies.
