Nana Banana sat on her porch by the beach, feeling lonely. Her long red hair blew in the wind. She watched the waves. Suddenly, something splashed in the shallow water. A little boy with short light brown hair tumbled onto the sand. He wore a purple octopus costume from preschool. "Hello! I'm Jamison Octopus!" he giggled. Nana Banana smiled wide. "Well hello, dear! I'm Nana Banana." Jamison gave her a big hug. Nana's heart felt warm and happy again.

"Nana Banana, let's find treasure!" Jamison said the next morning. They walked to the tide pools together. Jamison's octopus costume arms bounced as he ran. "Look! A starfish!" he shouted. Nana Banana bent down carefully. "And here's a pretty shell," she said, handing it to Jamison. They found smooth stones and seaweed too. "This is the best treasure," Jamison said, holding Nana's hand. "You're my treasure too," Nana Banana whispered. They carried their treasures home in a bucket.

That afternoon, dark clouds rolled in. "It's too rainy for the beach," Jamison said sadly. "Not for us!" Nana Banana grabbed two umbrellas. They sat on the sand under the umbrellas. The rain made soft pattering sounds. "Tell me a story, Nana," Jamison asked. Nana Banana told him about a brave octopus who saved a banana from a storm. Jamison laughed and clapped. "That's us!" he cheered. The rain stopped and a rainbow appeared. "Magic!" they said together.

On Sunday, Jamison had to go home. "Will you come back?" Nana Banana asked quietly. "Every weekend!" Jamison promised. He hugged her tight with all his costume arms. "You're not lonely anymore, right Nana?" Jamison asked. Nana Banana's eyes sparkled. "Not anymore, my dear Jamison Octopus." She kissed his forehead. "We're family now." Jamison waved from the car. Nana Banana waved back, her long red hair dancing. She wasn't withering anymore. She was blooming with love.
