Nikki rushed through the door of Curl & Shine Salon, her curls bouncing with each step. "Good morning, Auntie Lisa!" she called out. The salon smelled like coconut oil and vanilla. Auntie Lisa smiled warmly and tied an apron around Nikki's waist. "Ready to be my special helper today?" she asked. Nikki nodded eagerly. "I'm going to learn everything!" The salon buzzed with happy music and laughter. Today would be the best day ever.

Auntie Lisa showed Nikki colorful bottles on the shelf. "This is shampoo to clean hair, and conditioner to make it soft," she explained. Nikki touched a jar of hair butter. "What's this for?" she asked. "That keeps curls moisturized and healthy," Auntie Lisa said. She showed Nikki leave-in conditioner, detangler, edge control, and hair oil. "Each product has a special job." Nikki's eyes widened. "Hair needs so many helpers!" Auntie Lisa laughed. "Just like you're my helper today!"

Mrs. Johnson sat in Auntie Lisa's chair for box braids. Nikki watched as her aunt used a rattail comb, clips, and hair extensions. "Can you hand me that spray bottle?" Auntie Lisa asked. Nikki helped carefully. Next came young Maya for cornrows, then Mr. Davis's son for starter locs. Nikki saw twists, bantu knots, and a beautiful blowout style. The hooded dryer hummed as someone sat underneath. "So many amazing styles!" Nikki exclaimed. Auntie Lisa winked. "And you're learning them all."

"Time to clean up, helper!" Auntie Lisa handed Nikki a small broom. They swept hair from the floor. Auntie Lisa showed her how to sanitize combs and brushes in a special solution. "Clean tools keep everyone healthy and safe," she explained. Nikki wiped down the station and organized products neatly. A client relaxed at the shampoo bowl while another flipped through magazines. The nail station sparkled in the corner. "A clean salon is a happy salon," Nikki repeated proudly. Auntie Lisa hugged her. "You're a natural, sweetheart!"
