Hi! I'm Prince. I'm four years old and I love to play! This is my little brother Amir. He's one. Today we're going to the park! Amir claps his hands. "Park! Park!" he says. I hold his hand. "Are you ready, Amir?" I ask. He smiles big. Mom helps us put on our shoes. "Let's go on an adventure!" I say.

Mom gives us our hats. Mine is blue. Amir's is yellow. "The sun is bright today," Mom says. I help Amir with his hat. "There you go, little buddy!" Amir touches his hat and giggles. I put on my backpack. It has our snacks inside. "Water and crackers," Mom says. "Crackers!" Amir claps again. Now we're ready to go!

We walk out the front door. The sun feels warm and nice. "Look, Amir! Blue sky!" I point up high. Amir looks up and laughs. Birds are singing in the trees. "Tweet tweet," I say to Amir. He tries to copy me. "Tee tee!" We walk down the steps carefully. Mom holds Amir's other hand. Our adventure has started!

We walk past Mrs. Garcia's house. Her flowers are so pretty! "Red flowers!" I tell Amir. He points at them. "Fow-er!" he says. I'm teaching him new words. We see a fuzzy cat on a fence. "Meow," says the cat. Amir gets excited. "Kitty! Kitty!" he shouts. The cat runs away. We keep walking toward the park.

There's a huge tree on the corner. "That tree is so tall!" I say. Amir looks up and up and up. Some leaves fall down. I catch one! "Look, Amir, a green leaf!" I show him. He grabs it with his little fingers. The leaf crinkles. Amir laughs at the crunchy sound. I love making him happy. Almost to the park now!

We reach the big street. "Stop," Mom says. We all stop at the corner. "We look left and right," I tell Amir. I'm a good big brother. No cars are coming. The light turns green for us. "Now we can cross!" Mom says. We walk across together, holding hands tight. I can see the park now! It's right there!

We reach the park gate! It's green and shiny. "We're here, Amir!" I cheer. Amir bounces up and down. He's so excited! Through the gate, I see swings and slides. I see the sandbox too! "What should we do first?" I ask. Amir points at everything. "Yes! Yes!" he says. Mom laughs at us. Time to play!

We walk to the playground. There are so many fun things! "Do you want to swing, Amir?" I ask. Mom puts Amir in the baby swing. I push him very gently. "Wheee!" Amir giggles. He swings back and forth. "Higher?" I ask. "Higher!" Amir says. Mom helps me push a little more. Amir is having so much fun!

Now we go to the slide. It's red and shiny. "I'll go first," I say. I climb up the ladder. Whoosh! Down I go! "Your turn, Amir!" Mom carries Amir up. She holds him on her lap. They slide down together! Amir laughs and laughs. "Again! Again!" he shouts. We slide three more times. This is the best day ever!

Mom says it's snack time now. We sit on a bench under a tree. I open our backpack. "Crackers for Prince," Mom says. "Crackers for Amir!" I help give Amir his crackers. He eats them slowly. I drink my water. Amir drinks from his sippy cup. "Yummy!" I say. Amir nods and smiles. The crackers give us more energy to play!

A little girl walks by with her dad. "Hi!" I wave to her. "Hi! I'm Prince. This is Amir!" The girl smiles. "I'm playing on the swings," she says. "Us too!" I say. Amir waves bye-bye to her. "Bye!" he says. Making new friends is fun! "You're very friendly, Prince," Mom says. I feel proud and happy inside.

The sun is getting lower now. "Time to go home," Mom says. We had so much fun today! I hold Amir's hand again. "Did you like the park, Amir?" He nods his head. "Park!" he says happily. We walk back down our street. I tell Amir about all we did. Tomorrow we can come back. I love our walks together!
