In the backyard beneath a towering oak, Daddy smiles from the wooden treehouse doorway. Rose and Lilly stand on the grass gazing up wide-eyed as early morning sunlight dapples leaves, ladder, and freshly built platform.
Rose and Lilly raced outside after breakfast. Their eyes grew wide with wonder. A beautiful wooden treehouse stood in the big oak tree! Daddy smiled from the doorway. "I built this just for you two," he said proudly. Rose clapped her hands. "It's amazing!" squealed Lilly. They climbed the ladder carefully. Inside was an empty room with windows. "Can we make it special, Daddy?" asked Rose. Daddy nodded. "Let's decorate it together. What colors do you want?" The sisters looked at each other and grinned. "Pink and purple!" they shouted.
On a sunny afternoon outside the treehouse, Rose balances on tiptoes painting a pink stripe while Lilly crouches nearby brushing a deep purple line. Daddy holds the ladder steady; open paint buckets and splatters brighten the wooden walls.
Daddy brought paintbrushes and paint buckets. Rose picked bright pink. Lilly chose deep purple. "Let's make stripes!" said Lilly. Daddy helped them paint careful lines outside. Rose stood on her tiptoes to reach higher. Purple stripe, then pink stripe, then purple again. Paint splattered on Rose's nose. She giggled. Lilly got pink on her fingers. They worked together all morning. Soon the treehouse looked like a candy castle. "It's beautiful!" said Daddy, hugging both girls. The sisters danced around happily. Their treehouse was becoming magical.
Inside the treehouse at midday, soft light pours through the windows. Daddy hangs twinkling fairy lights while Rose presses silver stars on a wall and Lilly drapes flower garlands beside stacked pillows and a small bookshelf.
The next day, they decorated inside. Daddy hung twinkling fairy lights along the ceiling. Rose taped silver stars on the walls. Lilly draped flower garlands around the windows. "We need a reading corner," said Lilly. Daddy brought soft pillows and a fuzzy blanket. Rose arranged her favorite books on a small shelf. They added a toy chest painted with butterflies. Lilly hung a sparkly curtain in the doorway. Rose placed stuffed animals in the corner. "Now it's perfect!" said Rose. The treehouse glowed like a fairy tale. It was their special princess castle.
Evening settles inside the glowing treehouse; fairy lights shimmer against dusky walls. On the pillow-filled reading corner, Daddy sits with an open storybook as Rose and Lilly snuggle drowsily at his sides, sunset colors blazing through the nearby window.
That evening, the family climbed up together. The fairy lights twinkled like tiny stars. Rose and Lilly snuggled with Daddy in the reading corner. He read them a princess story. Through the window, they watched the sunset paint the sky orange and pink. "This is the best treehouse ever," whispered Lilly. Rose nodded sleepily against Daddy's shoulder. "Thank you for building it, Daddy," she said softly. Daddy kissed their foreheads. "We made it magical together," he said warmly. The three of them sat quietly, hearts full of love and happiness. Their treehouse dreams had come true.
