Sunny hillside pasture with sheep grazing; David, holding a wooden shepherd’s staff, is facing Samuel and is bowing his head, Samuel is looking at David and lightly pouring oil from a horn over his head
David watched his sheep under the sun. Suddenly, Samuel, with long white hair, arrived. “David, you are the one chosen by God!” Samuel announced. David looked up, shocked at this sudden declaration. He bowed his head as Samuel gently poured oil over David to anoint him.
Dusty valley battlefield under harsh afternoon sun; towering Goliath bellows from the center while small David steps forward clutching a basket of bread. David hold a sling in one hand and is looking at Goliath, long shot. David's face is only half visible because he is looking at Goliath, and Goliath's face is half visible because he is looking at David.
One day, David’s father sent him to bring food to his brothers. David saw a huge man named Goliath shouting, “Who will fight me?” Everyone looked scared. David asked, “Why is no one brave? This man is insulting the people of our Lord,” David decided to volunteer.
Open battlefield beneath clear sky; David releases his sling, stone frozen mid-flight toward Goliath’s forehead while the giant staggers backward, eyes wide, bronze armor glinting in bright daylight.
Goliath laughed when he saw small David. “Am I a dog you come at with a stick?” he mocked. David picked up a stone and slung it. The stone hit Goliath’s forehead, and he fell with a thud. “God helped me!” David cheered. The crowd shouted with joy.
Sunlit palace terrace overlooking Jerusalem; King David wearing a golden crown and crimson robe waves to cheering citizens below while aged Samuel stands beside a marble column, smiling proudly.
Many years later, David wore a golden crown. People cheered, “Long live the king!” Samuel, now older, smiled at David proudly. David waved to his people. “I will be a kind king,” he promised. Israel was peaceful under King David’s rule.
