Inside a small kitchen, daylight streams through the window as Ari frowns at an open lunch box holding five biscuits and two tiny fried fish on the table, while Mom stands beside him, smiling encouragingly.
Ari frowned as he opened his lunch box. "Mom, why do I only have five biscuits and two small fried fish?" he sighed. Mom smiled, "Maybe something special will happen today." Ari shrugged, grabbed his bag, and headed to school. He didn't know his simple lunch was about to do wonders. Ari walked through the city, thinking about his lunch.
In the municipal garden under clear morning light, Jesus addresses a semicircle of curious townspeople near the fountain, while Ari stands at the edge clutching his closed lunch box to his chest, watching with wide eyes.
On his way, Ari noticed a crowd in the municipal garden. People listened closely to a kind man speaking. Ari tapped a lady, "Who is that?" She whispered, "That's Jesus." After the talk, some people asked if anyone had food. Ari remembered his little lunch box and held it tight.
On the grassy garden lawn beneath midday sun, Jesus kneels beside a low basket, breaking biscuits and fried fish that visibly multiply into overflowing piles, while Ari stands nearby, mouth agape, tiny lunch box empty at his feet.
One helper spotted Ari and brought him to Jesus. Jesus smiled and asked softly, "Can I borrow your lunch?" Ari nodded, feeling shy but excited. Jesus broke the biscuits and fish, and they kept multiplying! Everyone ate until they were full. Jesus turned to Ari, "Thank you, little one."
In the modest living room lit by warm late-afternoon light, Ari hugs Mom tightly near the doorway, smiling proudly while holding the closed lunch box behind his back, and Mom returns the embrace with relieved eyes.
Ari ran home and hugged his mom tightly. "Are you okay? Did you have lunch?" Mom asked with concern. Ari grinned and winked, "Yes, and I shared it too. Thank you, Mom!" Mom hugged him back, feeling happy and proud. Ari was grateful for his little lunch box.
