Momma and dadda in a hospital room room with a doctor and nurse
Mama and dadda were very excited. They were expecting a little baby. One night Momma didn’t feel well so they had to go to the hospital. The doctors told her that she would have to stay in the hospital. For one week, Momma and Dadda stayed in the hospital waiting to have some news of their tiny unborn baby. Then they were told that they would be moving to the super hospital where the doctors and nurses would look after mama and the unborn baby.

When they got to the super hospital the doctor told them that mamma would need to stay in bed to make sure the baby stayed nice and safe inside her. Mamma could get out of bed for any reason. Dadda stayed there with her.
Mid-morning light filters through the bedroom window as Momma reclines against stacked pillows, smiling softly. Beside the bed, Oliver offers a glass of water with proud grin, his other hand adjusting an extra pillow on her lap.
Momma rested in bed every day. She ate healthy food and took her medicine. 'I'm keeping baby safe,' she told Oliver. Oliver brought Momma water and pillows. 'You're the bravest queen,' Dadda said. Momma smiled at her family.
Afternoon sun fills the living-room; Momma lounges on the sofa laughing, one hand on her round belly. Kneeling beside her, Oliver sings close to the bump while holding up a crayon drawing, eyes sparkling with excitement.
Oliver drew pictures for the baby. He sang soft songs to Momma's belly. 'Baby can hear me!' he whispered. Momma laughed and kissed his head. 'You're a wonderful big brother already,' she said. Oliver beamed with pride.
In Oliver's softly lit bedroom at night, a bedside lamp casts golden light as Dadda sits on the edge, holding an open storybook and smiling. Oliver, tucked under a blanket, gazes up at him, eyes wide with comfort.
Dadda cooked dinner every night. He read stories to Oliver at bedtime. Then he talked to Momma's belly. 'We can't wait to meet you, little one,' he said softly. Momma felt so loved. Their family grew stronger.
Bright afternoon sunlight streams into the nursery; Dadda stands on a cloth-covered floor rolling yellow paint over the wall. Momma watches from the doorway smiling, while Oliver holds a calendar showing circled dates, all faces glowing with anticipation.
Weeks passed slowly. Momma stayed patient and hopeful. Oliver counted days on the calendar. 'Soon, soon, soon!' he chanted happily. Dadda painted the baby's room yellow. 'Like sunshine,' Momma said. They all smiled together.
In the living-room bathed in morning light, Momma wipes joyful tears while standing beside the couch. Nearby, Dadda lifts Oliver high into the air; Oliver kicks his legs and laughs, celebrating the doctor’s good news.
The doctor came to check on Momma. 'Baby is growing stronger!' she announced. Momma cried happy tears. Oliver danced around the room. Dadda lifted him high. 'Our tiny warrior is fighting!' Momma said proudly.
Late-afternoon sun filters through the yellow nursery, illuminating a half-built crib where Dadda tightens the final screw. Momma, seated in a rocking chair knitting a pastel blanket, smiles at Oliver who proudly displays a handmade wooden rattle.
Oliver made a toy for the baby. Dadda built a little crib. Momma knitted a soft blanket. 'All made with love,' she said. They put everything in the nursery. The room felt magical and warm.
Inside the car under streetlamps at predawn, Dadda grips the steering wheel, eyes focused ahead. In the passenger seat, Momma breathes steadily, one hand on her belly and the other clutching a packed hospital bag on her lap.
One morning, Momma said, 'It's time!' Dadda drove carefully to the hospital. Oliver stayed with Grandma. 'Be brave, Momma!' Oliver had said. Momma remembered his words. She felt strong and ready.
In the softly lit hospital delivery room, Momma cradles newborn Emma against her chest, tears of relief on her cheeks. Beside the bed, Dadda leans forward, eyes shining and hands gently touching Emma’s tiny blanket-wrapped back.
After many hours, a baby cry filled the room. 'She's here!' the doctor said. Momma held her tiny daughter. 'You're perfect,' Momma whispered. The baby was small but healthy. Dadda cried with joy.
Morning light filters through the hospital room curtains as Momma sits propped in bed holding sleeping Emma. Oliver tiptoes beside them, extending a finger to touch his sister’s small hand, his face filled with gentle wonder.
Oliver tiptoed into the hospital room. He saw the tiny baby in Momma's arms. 'She's so small!' he whispered in wonder. 'This is your sister, Emma,' Dadda said. Oliver gently touched her hand. 'Hi, Emma,' he said softly.
Sunlight spills into the living-room of their cozy house; Momma reclines on the sofa cradling Emma. Standing next to them, Oliver gently adjusts a small blanket over his sister, smiling proudly as warm afternoon light fills the room.
They brought Emma home from the hospital. Oliver helped with everything. He was the best big brother. Momma rested and smiled at her family. 'We did it together,' she said. Their castle was complete with love.
