Mom pulled out an old recipe box from the cupboard. "Today, we make Grandma's special cake!" she said, smiling at her daughter. The little girl clapped her hands in excitement. Mom handed her the faded recipe card. "Let’s read it together," Mom suggested warmly. The kitchen filled with happy giggles and flour dust.

The daughter read the first step, and Mom cracked the eggs. "Can I pour the milk?" asked the little girl eagerly. "Of course," Mom replied, handing her the measuring cup. They added sugar and stirred the batter with a wooden spoon. Together, they tasted it and smiled at the sweetness.

"I’ll pour the batter in," Mom said, steadying the bowl. The daughter sprinkled cinnamon on top, like Grandma used to do. They watched the cake bake through the oven window. "It smells so yummy!" the little girl cheered. Mom hugged her and said, "It’s almost ready." Their mouths watered with anticipation.

Mom sliced the warm cake and handed her daughter a piece. "This is the best cake ever!" the little girl exclaimed. "We made it together, just like Grandma did," Mom replied. The family sat around the table, laughing and sharing stories. Every bite tasted of love and tradition. They promised to bake it again soon.
