At the sunlit edge of the Whispering Woods, Everleigh spreads a crinkly map on a stump while Hazel stands beside her, saluting crisply. Tall shadowy trees frame the clearing, noon light dapples the scene.
Everleigh studied a crinkly map. "To the Whispering Woods," she said. "Safety first," said Uncle Anthony. "Snacks ready," said Caity, adjusting Rilynn. Hazel saluted and said, "Aye, Captain!"
On a leafy forest path under afternoon sunbeams, Hazel points decisively right while a wooden sign bearing a carved riddle sways overhead. Anthony stands at her shoulder, broad smile and raised thumb, shadows stretching across mossy ground.
A sign rustled with a riddle. "Find the path where shadows point," Everleigh read. Hazel watched the sun and pointed right. "Quick thinking!" Anthony cheered. Caity bounced Rilynn, who giggled and clapped.
Beside the Shimmering Stream under bright midday light, Everleigh balances on a round stepping stone while Hazel, mid-leap, stretches toward the next glittering rock. Anthony stands in shallow water cradling laughing Rilynn, splashes catching sun.
They reached a Shimmering Stream with hopping stones. "We step on round ones," Everleigh decided. Hazel counted, "One, two, three—jump!" Anthony carried Rilynn, steady and brave. "Almost there!" Caity called, holding hands.
Inside the dim Puzzle Caves, Everleigh presses a star-shaped stone into a carved wall slot as golden light flares. Caity kneels nearby, eyes wide while holding a newly revealed compass that gleams in the warm glow.
Inside the Puzzle Caves, echoes hummed. "Match the shapes," Everleigh said, arranging stones. Hazel spotted the star slot instantly. A glow revealed a compass; Caity gasped. "Teamwork wins," said Anthony, as Rilynn clapped.
