Mia was walking home from school when she heard soft meowing. Under a bush, she spotted a small gray kitten looking scared and hungry. The tiny creature trembled as Mia knelt down beside it. "Hello there, little one," she whispered gently.

The Discovery

At first, the kitten backed away fearfully. Mia waited patiently, speaking in soothing tones. Slowly, the kitten crept toward her outstretched hand. "You must be lost," Mia said as she carefully picked up the purring ball of fur.

Making Friends

Mia's mother helped give the kitten milk and make a cozy bed. They put up colorful posters around the neighborhood with a photo. "Someone must be missing you," Mia told the kitten as it curled up to sleep. She hoped the owner would see their posters soon.

A Temporary Home

The next morning, a boy named Ben knocked on their door. "That's my kitten, Whiskers!" he exclaimed with tears of joy. The kitten leaped into Ben's arms, purring loudly. Mia smiled, happy she had helped reunite them.
