In a sunny backyard clearing, Snowy stands near a small puddle, beads of water sliding down his snowy body, while Trixi, the brown, furry wiener dog, circles him with a kindly bark. Strong afternoon sun blazes overhead.
"Plip, plip," said Snowy, feeling little droplets slide. "I'm melting!" Trixi, the brown, furry wiener dog, barked kindly. "We'll help you stay chilly!" She trotted circles. Snowy waved twig arms, worried.
Under the deep shade of a tall pine, Snowy relaxes on cool needles while Trixi presents a shiny pail brimming with fresh snow beside him. Dappled midday light filters through green branches.
"Shade first!" yipped Trixi. She led Snowy beneath a tall pine, needles tickling his hat. "Ahh, cooler," Snowy sighed. Trixi fetched a shiny pail of snow. "Hold this, friend!"
Next to the pine, Trixi props an open rainbow umbrella as Snowy packs snow around his feet, forming their breezy "Chilly Spot" fort. Soft afternoon wind rustles needles, sunlight scattered across the improvised shelter.
"Let's make a breezy fort," said Trixi. She tugged an umbrella beside the pine. Wind whispered through. Snowy packed snow around his feet. "Refreshing!" he laughed. They named it Chilly Spot.
During violet twilight at Chilly Spot, Snowy and Trixi touch twig to paw in a joyful high-five while gentle clouds mute the setting sun. Cool evening breeze swirls through dimming pine shadows.
Clouds drifted in, softening the sun. "Drips slowing," Snowy smiled. Trixi wagged. "I'll visit mornings and evenings," she promised. They high-fived paw to twig. "Friends keep cool," they cheered, enjoying twilight breezes.
