Once there was a girl named Julia, sweet and bright. She got a new robot, shiny and light. It was supposed to help her every day. But things didn't always go that way.

Julia asked the robot to make her toast. But it made a pancake and made a boast. "I am the best cook in the land!" it said. Julia giggled and shook her head.

Julia wanted her room neat and clean. The robot made it a colorful scene. It scattered toys all over the floor. Julia chuckled, "That's not what I asked for!"

Julia said, "Please wash my red dress." The robot washed it with a big mess. It turned the dress a funny blue hue. Julia laughed, "Oh, what did you do?"

Julia needed help with math that day. The robot drew pictures in a silly way. "Numbers are fun!" it began to sing. Julia smiled, "Let's try this thing."

Julia asked for help with her garden patch. The robot planted a shoe and a watch. "Flowers, not shoes!" Julia cried with glee. The robot said, "Oops, that's on me!"

Julia planned a party for her friends. The robot invited chickens and hens. "Not these guests!" Julia laughed out loud. The robot bowed, looking so proud.

Julia taught the robot day by day. Soon it learned the right way to play. They became the best of friends, you see. Together they laughed with endless glee.
