John Jr toddled up to Jesus and asked, "What is Judaism?" Jesus knelt, smiling gently, and said, "I can tell you all about it, little one!"

"Judaism means believing in one God," Jesus explained. John Jr clapped his hands, excited, "Like one sun in the sky!" Jesus nodded and chuckled.

"Long ago, God made a special promise with Abraham," Jesus told John Jr. "It’s called a covenant." John Jr listened with bright, curious eyes.

Jesus unrolled a paper and said, "Jewish people read the Torah, a book of stories and teachings." John Jr traced the pretend words with his finger.

Jesus drew a star on the ground. "This is the Star of David, a special symbol of Judaism." John Jr giggled and tried to draw his own star too.

"Jewish people celebrate holidays, like Hanukkah and Shabbat," Jesus said. John Jr smiled, "Do they sing and have candles?" "Yes!" replied Jesus.

"They eat special foods called kosher," Jesus explained. John Jr flapped his arms. "Yummy!" he cheered. Jesus laughed and pretended to munch, too.

"Families gather to pray and eat together," Jesus shared. John Jr hugged his teddy and whispered, "I love family time!" Jesus gently patted his head.

Jesus said, "Judaism is also a big community of friends." John Jr waved his hand in the air and said, "Hello, friends!" Jesus waved, too.

"Jewish stories teach kindness and caring," said Jesus. John Jr gave Jesus a big, happy hug. Jesus hugged him back, feeling very proud.

"Did you know I’m Jewish too?" said Jesus softly. John Jr’s eyes widened with surprise. "Wow!" he grinned.

"Learning about Judaism helps us be better friends," Jesus finished. John Jr nodded, feeling happy they could learn together. "Thank you, Jesus!"
