Maya skipped into the backyard, holding a tambourine. "Liam, guess what I learned!" she said. "Psalm 149 says to sing a new song to God!" Liam grinned and grabbed his drum. "Let's make one up right now!" They banged and clapped, giggling at their silly tune. "That was fun," Maya laughed. "God must love happy noise!" Liam nodded. "Let's ask our friends to join us tomorrow." The new song already made their hearts feel light and glad.

The next morning, Ella and Josh arrived at Maya's house with bells and shakers. "We heard about the new song!" Ella said, bouncing excitedly. Liam handed out instruments while Maya explained, "Psalm 149 says God's people should rejoice together." Josh shook his bells happily. "That means all of us!" The four friends stood in a circle, ready to praise. "Let's sing loud so everyone can hear how good God is," Maya said. Together, they began their joyful song.

Liam clapped his hands in a steady beat. "Clap with me!" he called. Maya, Ella, and Josh joined in, clapping and laughing together. "This feels like a celebration," Maya said, smiling wide. Josh added, "Because it is! We're celebrating God's goodness." Their claps grew louder, echoing through the yard. Even the birds seemed to chirp along. "I think God is happy too," Ella giggled. The friends clapped faster, filled with joy that seemed impossible to contain.

"Now let's dance!" Maya shouted, twirling around. Liam hopped and spun beside her, nearly tripping over his own feet. Ella and Josh joined, moving to the beat of their new song. "Psalm 149 says to praise God with dancing," Maya reminded them, out of breath. "I never knew praising could be this fun," Josh said, spinning again. The friends danced until their cheeks turned pink and their smiles grew wide, feeling closer to God with every joyful step.

Maya shook her tambourine while Liam pounded his little drum. Ella jingled her bells, and Josh rattled his shaker. "Our instruments sound different, but together they make music," Liam noticed. Maya smiled. "Just like Psalm 149 says—praise Him with instruments!" The music grew louder and more joyful as they played. "I feel so happy right now," Ella said. Josh agreed, tapping his foot. "Me too! Praising God feels like a party in my heart."

After playing, the friends sat under a big tree to rest. "Psalm 149 also talks about God's great power," Maya said, flipping through her Bible storybook. Liam looked up at the tall tree and the wide sky. "God made all of this," he whispered. Josh nodded. "That's pretty powerful." Ella hugged her knees. "It makes me want to praise Him even more." They sat quietly, amazed at how big and strong God truly is.

"Let's each say something we're thankful for," Maya suggested. Liam started, "I'm thankful for my family." Ella added, "I'm thankful for sunny days." Josh grinned, "I'm thankful for my friends." Maya smiled warmly. "I'm thankful God loves us so much." They held hands in a small circle. "Psalm 149 says His people can rejoice because He cares for us," Maya said. Their thankful hearts felt full, ready to praise God even more.

Maya pulled out a small card with words written on it. "This is our memory verse," she said. "'Sing to the Lord a new song.'" Liam repeated it slowly, then again faster. Ella and Josh joined in until they said it together perfectly. "Now we'll always remember to sing new songs to God," Liam said proudly. Maya smiled. "Even when we're sad or happy, we can praise Him." The verse settled happily into their hearts.

The next day, Maya and Liam brought their instruments to the park. Ella and Josh followed with big smiles. "Let's share our new song with everyone here," Maya said. They played and sang near the swings, and soon other children stopped to listen and clap along. "This is what Psalm 149 means," Liam whispered. "Sharing joy makes it grow bigger." The park filled with music, laughter, and happy hearts praising God together.

On the walk home, Maya hummed their new song. "We can praise God anywhere," she said, "not just at church or home." Liam nodded, tapping his drum lightly. "Even at the park, in the car, or at school." Ella twirled once more, giggling. "Praising God is like a happy habit!" Josh laughed. "I like that. Let's do it every day." They agreed, feeling excited about all the new places they could sing praises.

The friends decided to make a little parade around the neighborhood. Maya led with her tambourine, Liam followed with his drum, and Ella and Josh shook their bells and shakers. "Sing loud!" Maya called, and they sang their new song proudly. Neighbors smiled and waved from their porches. "This feels like Psalm 149 come alive," Liam said happily. Their joyful parade filled the street with music, laughter, and praise for God's goodness.

That evening, the friends sat together on Maya's porch, tired but happy. "Today was full of praise," Maya said softly. Liam smiled. "And joy, and dancing, and new songs." Ella hugged her tambourine close. "I want every day to feel like this." Josh nodded. "Let's always remember to thank God for His love." Together they whispered their memory verse one more time, hearts full of gratitude, ready to praise God again tomorrow.
