Lila kneels on the wooden attic floor, holding a yellowed map, afternoon sun slanting through dusty rafters. Pip the squirrel peers through the small window, paws on the sill, eyes wide with excitement.
Lila found an old map in her attic. It showed a path through the ancient forest. "This leads to treasure!" she said excitedly. Pip the squirrel peeked through the window. "Can I come too?" he squeaked. Lila smiled and nodded yes.
In the shadowy forest midday, Lila stands at the base of a towering oak, finger pointing upward. Pip clings to a high branch, presenting a gleaming golden acorn marked with a tiny arrow.
Lila and Pip entered the dark forest together. The map showed a big oak tree. "Look, there's a clue!" Lila pointed up high. Pip climbed quickly and found a golden acorn. "It has an arrow on it," he said. They followed the arrow's direction deeper into the woods.
Inside the dim rocky cave, walls glitter with multicolored crystals casting soft light. Lila holds the map while Pip studies a painted clue on a nearby stone, their reflections sparkling in the crystal glow.
The arrow led them to a rocky cave entrance. "Should we go inside?" Pip asked nervously. Lila held the map tight and stepped forward bravely. Inside, they saw sparkly crystals on the walls. Another clue was painted on a stone. "We're getting close!" Lila cheered.
In a sunlit clearing at sunset, the earth is freshly dug beside an old stump. Lila beams at an open chest overflowing with colorful stones and toys while Pip hugs her side, orange sky framing them.
The final clue led them to a small clearing. They dug beneath an old stump together. Inside was a chest full of colorful stones and toys. "The real treasure was our adventure," Lila said happily. Pip hugged his new friend tight. They walked home as the sun set beautifully.
