Under a bright morning sun, Rusty the rock truck bounces over a bumpy hill, his dented orange bed clanking and his dusty black tires crunching gravel. A load of big grey rocks jostles in his truck bed as his friendly windshield eyes crinkle with a cheerful smile.
Rusty the rock truck rumbled happily around the yard, his dented bed clanking and his tires crunching gravel. He wasn't shiny anymore, but he loved carrying big rocks all day long. 'Squeaky doors and all, I love my job!' Rusty chuckled, bouncing over a bumpy hill. The other trucks admired how carefully he worked. Rusty knew every rock pile, every tricky turn, and every safe path in the whole yard. He smiled, ready for another busy day of hauling heavy stones.
Rusty watches as Rocky, a shiny blue rock truck with glossy chrome wheels, zooms into the yard spraying gravel. Rocky’s headlight eyes beam with pride, while Rusty’s windshield eyes hold a worried smile.
One morning, a shiny new truck zoomed into the yard. 'I'm Rocky!' he announced proudly. 'Look how shiny I am! I bet I'm the best rock truck ever!' Rusty smiled and said, 'Welcome, Rocky! This yard has some tricky spots.' Rocky laughed. 'Tricky spots? Not for me!' He zoomed off fast, spraying gravel behind him, eager to prove he needed no help at all. Rusty watched, a little worried about his new, speedy friend.
Near the tallest rock pile, Rocky’s shiny blue wheels spin uselessly in deep mud, splattering brown muck everywhere. His headlight eyes look wide and frantic. Rusty rolls up carefully, his dented face gentle and reassuring.
Rocky sped toward the tallest rock pile, ignoring the narrow path. Suddenly, his shiny wheels sank into soft, muddy ground. 'Help! I'm stuck!' Rocky cried, spinning his tires uselessly. Mud splashed everywhere. Rusty rolled over carefully and looked at the mess. 'Don't worry, Rocky,' Rusty said gently. 'Going fast isn't always best. Let's figure this out together.' Rocky sighed, embarrassed but relieved that Rusty had come to help him.
Rusty and Rocky work together, placing flat grey rocks under the muddy tires. Moments later, Rocky rolls free, his mud-splattered blue paint glistening as he grins at Rusty, who chuckles warmly beside him.
Rusty studied the mud and formed a plan. 'We'll lay flat rocks under your tires for grip,' he said. Together, they placed rocks carefully, and slowly Rocky rolled free. 'Thanks, Rusty!' Rocky grinned. 'You really do know best.' Rusty chuckled. 'Being careful matters more than being shiny.' From then on, Rocky watched the path, listened closely, and worked safely beside his wise, dented friend every single day.
