In a sunny grassy field, little Pip the round bird with big blue eyes and a tiny yellow beak rolls a red ball toward Lily, a 7-year-old girl with bouncy golden curls and a gap-toothed smile wearing a cheerful yellow sundress. Both giggle with glee.
Pip the chick had eyes so blue, and a tiny yellow beak too. One sunny day, he met a girl named Lily, with golden curls so fair. They rolled a ball across the grass, and giggled as the hours passed. "Will you be my friend?" asked Pip with glee. "Forever and ever!" laughed Lily happily. They shook on it, so proud and true, and knew their friendship had just grown new.
Beneath a broad green tree, Lily in her cheerful yellow sundress kneels and hugs Pip, the blue-eyed, round bird. Pip’s little wings droop with relief. A broken toy lies nearby, momentarily forgotten.
One day Pip grabbed Lily's favorite toy, and broke it without any joy. Lily frowned and turned away, "That was mean!" she had to say. Pip felt sad with drooping wings, "I'm sorry, Lily," softly he sings. "Friends forgive and friends still care," said Lily, "so let's mend this scare." They hugged it out beneath the tree, happy as friends are meant to be.
In a sunlit garden, Lily in her cheerful yellow sundress and round Pip with blue eyes kneel together, gently patting soil around a tiny green sprout. Their faces are soft with shared contentment.
The sun came out, and so did smiles, as Pip and Lily walked for miles. "I learned," said Pip, "that friends forgive, and love each other while they live." Lily nodded, warm and bright, "Through ups and downs, we'll be alright." They planted a flower, side by side, a sign of friendship that would abide. Together they watched it start to grow, a living promise, friends will show.
Under a warm sunset sky, Lily in her cheerful yellow sundress sits on a grassy hill, holding Pip the round, blue-eyed bird close to her cheek. Both smile peacefully, their bond unbreakable.
Pip and Lily, side by side, through every storm and every tide. They laughed, they cried, they learned to share, and found that friendship's truly rare. "No matter what," Pip softly said, "I'll be your friend till we're both old and gray-haired." Lily smiled and hugged him tight, "Best friends forever, day and night." And so they stayed, through thick and thin, two loyal hearts that always win.
