Benny hopped by, quick as can be,
and bumped Lilo's blocks—one, two, three!
The tower crashed down with a clatter and bang,
Lilo's eyes welled up, her smile went to sang.
"You wrecked it!" she cried, "That took me all day!"
Benny froze still, not sure what to say.
His tummy felt funny, his ears drooped low,
but instead of apologizing, he just turned to go.

At home Benny sat with his head hanging down,
Mama Bunny noticed his worried-up frown.
"What happened, my dear? You look rather blue."
Benny sniffled and told her what he didn't do.
"I knocked down her blocks and I didn't say sorry,
I just ran away—now I'm filled up with worry."
Mama hugged tight and said soft in his ear,
"Let's visit Grandpa, he'll help make things clear."

Grandpa Bunny sat rocking, his glasses aglow.
"Mistakes happen, Benny, this much I know.
It's not being bad that makes you feel sad,
it's leaving things broken that makes it feel bad.
Saying 'I'm sorry' is brave, strong, and true,
it shows you still care about Lilo and you."
Benny sat thinking, then stood with a hop.
"I'll fix this right now—I won't let it stop!"

Benny ran back with his ears bouncing high,
found Lilo still sad with a tear in her eye.
"I'm sorry," he said, "I should not have run,
let's build it together, we'll make a new one!"
Lilo looked up and her frown turned around,
"Thank you for saying it—let's build something sound!"
Together they stacked blocks up tall, straight, and fine,
two happy bunny friends, their friendship now shines.
