Halle woke up and looked out her window. "Tootie, everything looks gray!" she said. Her fluffy white Persian cat blinked and meowed softly. Halle pulled on her boots. "Let's find the colors, Tootie!" Together they tiptoed into the garden, following a trail of sparkly dew. Something orange flickered near the fence. "Was that a color?" Halle gasped, tugging Tootie's leash toward the fence to look closer.

Behind the fence, a plump orange pumpkin sat glowing in the sun. "Found it!" Halle cheered, hugging the pumpkin. Tootie sniffed curiously, her whiskers twitching. Suddenly, a yellow butterfly fluttered past. "Yellow too!" Halle giggled, chasing it across the grass. Tootie pounced playfully, batting at falling leaves. The pair tumbled into a patch of purple flowers. "Purple, Tootie, look!" Halle laughed, petals sticking to her hair as they continued their colorful quest together.

Near the pond, Halle spotted something tricky: a shy blue bird hiding in the reeds. "Come out, little blue friend!" she whispered. Tootie crept low, careful not to scare it. The bird chirped and hopped onto a lily pad, flashing its feathers. "Got you!" Halle clapped. Just then, Tootie splashed into a puddle, turning her white fur muddy brown. "Oh no, Tootie!" Halle laughed, rinsing her fluffy friend with the hose.

Clean and fluffy again, Tootie curled beside Halle on the porch. They counted every color they found: orange pumpkin, yellow butterfly, purple petals, blue bird. "We found a whole rainbow, Tootie!" Halle cheered, hugging her soft cat tight. The sun dipped low, painting the sky pink and gold. "Tomorrow, let's find even more!" Halle whispered sleepily, as Tootie purred contentedly beside her, dreaming of their next colorful adventure.
