Leyla found a shimmering letter stuck to the window. 'The North Pole needs help!' she read aloud. Levi jumped up, eyes wide. 'Can we go?' Lincoln grinned and grabbed his coat. Millie barked and spun in circles, her tail wagging like a flag. Together, the four friends stepped through the glowing letter and landed in a swirl of snow, ready for their biggest adventure yet.

The workshop was silent. No hammers, no singing elves. 'Something's wrong,' Lincoln whispered. Levi tiptoed past empty toy benches. Millie sniffed the floor and barked at a trail of blue footprints. 'Someone's here,' Leyla said, following the tracks. The prints led toward a tall pile of unwrapped presents, scattered like nobody had finished the job. The mystery was just beginning.

Behind the presents sat a furry blue creature with a big nose and mismatched mittens. 'Go away!' he grumbled. 'I'm taking over since nobody invited Gus to anything!' Leyla knelt down. 'Who's Gus?' she asked gently. The creature sniffled. 'Me. The snow troll everyone forgets.' Millie nuzzled his furry hand softly. Gus blinked in surprise, his frown wobbling just a little.

Gus crossed his arms. 'I locked up the elves until someone remembers me!' Levi gasped. 'That's not nice, but maybe we can help.' Lincoln nodded. 'Where are they?' Gus pointed to a frosty door shaped like a snowflake. 'In there. But only kindness opens it,' he mumbled. Leyla smiled. 'Then let's be kind.' Millie wagged her tail, ready to help too.

Leyla pressed her hand to the icy door. 'Gus, we're sorry you felt forgotten.' Levi added, 'You can be our friend!' Lincoln patted Gus's furry shoulder. The snowflake door glowed warm gold and creaked open. Inside, worried elves blinked in the light. Millie barked happily, leading them out one by one into the glittering workshop.

The elves cheered, hugging Gus tightly. 'We missed you!' one elf said. Gus's eyes filled with happy tears. 'You did?' Leyla laughed. 'Of course! Now let's finish these toys together.' Levi grabbed a hammer, Lincoln stacked boxes, and Millie carried ribbons in her mouth. Soon the workshop buzzed with laughter, hammering, and jingling bells once more.

While wrapping gifts, Levi slipped on spilled syrup. 'Whoa!' He crashed into a tower of candy canes. Millie barked, skidding right behind him. Gus caught Levi just in time, his furry arms strong and steady. 'Gotcha!' Gus said proudly. Everyone laughed, brushing off sticky syrup and candy crumbs together.

Lincoln noticed something odd. 'The sleigh's missing its bell!' Gus gulped. 'I may have borrowed it... to feel important.' Leyla smiled kindly. 'You don't need a bell to matter, Gus.' He pulled the shiny bell from his pocket and placed it back, grinning sheepishly as Millie licked his furry cheek.

With the sleigh fixed, toys packed, and elves singing again, the workshop sparkled brighter than ever. Gus helped load presents, proud and smiling. 'Thank you for not giving up on me,' he said softly. Levi hugged him. 'Friends don't give up.' Millie barked in agreement, tail wagging wildly in the snow.

As the sleigh bells jingled, Leyla, Levi, Lincoln, and Millie waved goodbye to their new friend Gus. 'Come visit anytime!' he called, waving a mitten. The glowing letter swirled again, pulling them home through the snow. They landed softly in their living room, hearts warm with their North Pole mystery solved, ready for Christmas morning.
